There is a new user that goes by the name of "Cooper bob". Just thought somebody would want to know. He hasn't done any vandalism just made edits on his friend's userpage. And a "Lostpedian" just moved a page.

Thx for the tip. In my book editing someone's else userpage is unacceptable. I'm gonna check that guy. we are baturally suspicious of any username that is a derivate of 'Bob' (the battle with Bob is my first great exploit as a Sysop)

What about for spelling and stuff? or fixing a link.. It is a wiki afterall. Of course I'm not condoning adding false info, just fixing current stuff.

A userpage is for the exclusive use of the owner. We had an incident with a guy who set up his store with prize tags and everything and even when we had the right to delete his userpage we didn't, instead we talked to him and convinced him, he was quick to comply and we have not had any problems with that user ever since.
I have smitten people who have done even minor edits, because that's the beginning. if I overlook those the one line vandals will go undetected.

What about the periodic editing of unedited pages to remove them from the Wanted list?

I am against that too. The only reason I allow it is because one of the other sysops authiorizeded it while I was on wikivacation and you know I cannot contradict a sysop's decision. If it were for me I would delete all of them. a red link in user lets me know who is an active user and who isn't.

like

edit: i've never messed around with mediawiki code so I have no idea what their tables or anything are called.

edit: and something similar on the actual edit page so people don't just edit URLs.
