Special Announcement: We PWN the competition.
This is a message to everyone here in the forums to let you know about our spectaular growth over the last couple of months. Instead of going down because there are no new episodes we have gone up, thanks to the LOST experience and your devotion. Shortly after the season finale we had our thousandth article and now we had our twelve hundredth a couple of days ago.
So, here is the place to show you our statistics: There are 8,410 total pages in the database. This includes "talk" pages, pages about LostPedia, minimal "stub" pages, redirects, and others that probably don't qualify as content pages. Excluding those, there are 1,212 pages that are probably legitimate content pages. There have been a total of 18,986,240 page views, and 72,575 page edits since the wiki was setup. That comes to 8.63 average edits per page, and 261.61 views per edit. versus our closest competitor: There are 1,953 total pages in the database. This includes "talk" pages, pages about LOST, minimal "stub" pages, redirects, and others that probably don't qualify as content pages. Excluding those, there are 839 pages that are probably legitimate content pages. 726 files have been uploaded. There have been a total of 5,691 page views, and 8,255 page edits since the wiki was setup. That comes to 4.23 average edits per page, and 0.69 views per edit. Congratulations to everybody, I have never been prouder of the work we have all done. I would take you all to drink, but I am too far and I would need to spend the national gross product of my country to do that.  Thank you and namaste.

maybe it's the absinthe talking, but i am proud to be a contributor to this site, and that's something i've never said about any site before, despite contributing to quite a few electronic-music-based ones.

To me, that makes it look like we have about 5000 useless pages, which I hate. Though, if it does mean that lostpedia's on top I'm all for it.... to a certain extent.
next thing to do to improve lostpedia: Skin this crap forum.
