Last I checked the spoiler boards i think the consensus was Our fav french woman was the actress refusing to return to play a major role..

Turns out its actually Shannon. Shes reportedly filmed 3 back to back to back movies and JUST finished on Thurs of last week. Hopefully she can take a week or two and reenergize herself to get back to the island.

Cause I dont know about you, but if they really are gonna do this alt reality reset, itll look retarded if some of the more famous faces are somehow missing from the plane.

Mira Furlan is overseas filming something, she's busy, so she won't get back. Which is fine, I think they could manage to wrap the show up w/o Rousseau coming back, not to mention Claire is supposed to have become a 'nutter' as the brits say.

Well in this alt time line, events aren't going to be the same. The whole scientific concept about alternate realities is that they are spawned every time a decisive event takes place. There are infinite realities in the sense that each reality represents what would've happened if a decision, no matter how minute , was taken instead of of another. In this time line, fate and destiny is different than the other time line. People aren't bound by the same happenstances of the previous time line. This being said, maybe Boones mother and Shannons father never married and Boone was in Australia for business instead of bringing Shannon back. Maybe she was never born. I'm sure if Shannon isn't seen in Season 6 during the alt reality, we'll be given an explanation, but she must REALLY be burned out if she's refusing to come back for potentially the biggest break for her so far by not coming back for the last season of the biggest show of all time.
