I'll start off my saying, I know this is not a spoiler. Yes, I'm one of those annoying people posting "ok nice theory, but why did you post this in the spoiler forum? ...it's not a spoiler!".
... As against posting non-spoiler "theories" in the spoiler forum I am, there's also a strict rule against posting thoughts/theories that are based on spoilers anywhere else. So I guess I have no choice. Just let'n you know, I know this isn't a spoiler. Just "wonderings" based on something I've heard, that may be a spoiler; have no idea if it will prove true. (That the end scene of the show had been shot in season one, with Jack & Walt so that we could still see him as that young teen) On to the point of this thread... I'm "worried" about the idea that the show will end in 2004 with Jack and Walt as a young boy (maybe others?) ... and my musings... perhaps in the LAX when everyone is getting off the plane, and Jack & Walt having some words where both refer to some odd "memory" they have in their mind of all the years they lived in the other timeline, that formed in their mind in the short time it took the plane to successfully fly thru the "chaos bubble / ergoshere" that surrounds the Island ...

The 'spoilers' while interesting are also very confusing. I honestly doubt any of us at this point have enough information to genuinely 'posit' the actual end game.
The S5 finale on several levels totally 'turned the show on it's head' again. In interviews and podcasts etc "Darlton" have basically implied there are still key pieces of information we don't have yet to put together truly solid theories as to how it will all end. The fact they have requested that any promo for S6 does not include any footage or even stills for next season suggests that they are trying to prevent we die hard 'lostaholics' in particular from cottoning on too soon. |

I have heard about the season 1 filming of Walt for the finale, but I don't think it is true.
Neat Idea, but I still think it's bunk.

Yea, there were 'rumors' that Jack filmed scenes with Walt in season 1. As far as my understanding goes, this was debunked. It would've been a cool idea I guess. I remember some quote from someone saying like 'we never film scenes that far in advance because of the tendency of them to get leaked'. They could always do some Benjamin Button esque effects if they REALLY wanted Jack to talk to young Walt again...
