So, Ben's now a prime candidate to re-lead the Others.
Smocke's gone. Richard's gone. Who's going to lead the beach crowd now? Will Ben step in and take control? Or is this going to be Frank's job? Or Illana?
They're obviously not going to stand around, gawking. Someone has to step up. I'm hoping it's Ben.

I'm hoping its Ben too, but I think its going to be Ilana......the beach crowd surely can tell she's a little more knowledgable about what the hell is going on than Ben at this point.

If Ben is truly loyal to Jacob, and loyal to protecting the island - what he beleives was doing for the past 30 years-, he has to clean up his mess.
He had been blinded by Jealousy for a moment and killed Jacob, ( although I think, Ben didnt think it would be sooo easy, and JAcob would do nothing, Jacob coud just slap him!  ) so now after everything is passed, he knows he has messed up, and may be try to clean his own mess. I love seeing Ben as a leader and a person he was before season 5." a man with a plan "

If the Hostiles find out Ben killed Jacob, Ben may be headed for a branding or worse.

But couldn't they all follow Monster and Richard? We just saw them walk off a few seconds before the end of the scene. idk.

the other on the beach, didnt even know what the Fire alarm was! and they didnt even care to come to Richard`s help!
If they all jump on MIB and hold him down, can he still change to smokey?! If I were there, I would try that!!

They probably know more about him that we think. At least Ilana and Ben (and Richard).

I don't think Ben is in the mental condition to lead anything right now. My best guess is that he's going to hermit out for a little while. I mean he's lost his whole purpose in life, killed the island god, been conned, I think it's time for a little searching.
