Hi all, I'm new to the forum and to Lost as well - ok, I watched a couple of episodes but not enough to thoroughly enjoy the game. I've now reached the point where you have to guide Elliott through the jungle carrying all that dynamite, all the time evading smokey. I hate that part. No matter how careful I am and how long I stay in those trees, he always gets me. Or I panick and start to run - boom. Once I thought I had done it because the jungle seemed to clear up a bit and I was preparing to rejoice, thinking, hey, that wasn't so bad after all, you did it - then I discovered that I had been running in circles and had gone back to the spot where I had started (i.e. the two black flags) I've already used up all my patience on this game (did I already mention that it's not working properly?) and just want to get over with it. Are there any hints how to not lose my way in the jungle after emerging from the trees? I'm really bad at finding my way around; the flags are of no help since they always seem to point me in the direction I came from.

I know it is doable; I watched a video walkthrough on YouTube and the guy managed to make his way back to the hatch without encountering smokey at all - how is this possible? Is there a trick? If not, does somebody out there have a savegame right after this annoying sequence? I usually refrain from integrating other people's savegames in my game because I try to accomplish everything by myself. Lost, however, has lost me; I've spent so much time on this game already that I don't want to waste any more on it. I just want to be done

The most frustrating bit to me is also the dynamite part. I got upset after I had made it safely to the Banyan trees, or so I thought, but I guess Smokey grabbed me -right- as I hit the grove so he pummeled me. ; ;

What I don't like is that once you're in the Banyan trees it resets your camera view so even if you had an inkling as to what the direction the next flag was in you're totally lost now. AND I've even tried to position the camera to face the next flag before leaving the trees and it just spit me out behind where I was looking at making me completely confused.

Smokey is much harder than the puzzles. Also, I had heard somewhere that you can set the dynamite down? I haven't tried this yet, but maybe someone else has? Or is it a rumor?

I hated going through the jungle with dynamite. I went back to the black rock over and over. Having the camera move was the main reason I got lost. Everything looked the same and somethimes I would miss the black flags, because Smokey was right behind me. Then when I got back out I couldn't find the darn flag.

Yeah, Hotel Persephone is probably the hardest level in the game...

The dynamite part took me so long!!! I don't actually have the game, so i went to my friends house every couple of weeks starting in June and even then we didn't get past that part until December. We did it for like 4 hours at a time... it got really annoying!!!

I couldn't get the darn photo. Up in the office. I kept going to the wrong side before I realised that you had to be on the other side. Then I couldn't get him in foucs.

So I sat there and just snapped off a million pictures until I finally got the right shot.

Ive only just got the game so im a bit behind to say the least. Just got to the point when Elliot remembers his name so not got to the difficult bits yet but reading what you've all put about the dynamite bit - yey cant wait for that now . Think the games alright nowt amazing though and doesnt really do the show justice
