Lost Summer Rerun Airdates U.S.

What is up with the programmers at ABC? They replace the double episode rerun on 7/19 with a two hour replay of "The One"?? The replay was of the show that air the night before! They are making it tough for people who have not seen season 2 to catch up. I watched season 1 on DVD in March per a friends recommendation so I wanted to watch the reruns of season 2 this summer to catch up for the beginning of season 3. I understand that reruns don't bring in the viewers like a first run show but ABC is showing a rerun of a show ("The One") that aired for the first time just the night before. From what I understand "The Hunting Party" as well as "Maternity Leave" which they are skipping completely in two weeks, are important episodes. It seems weird to neglect airing them.

Given the serial nature of "Lost" you would think the would try to give new viewers a chance to jump on board the bandwagon. I guess not. I'll just have to wait until the Season 2 DVDs come out in September and try to cram them before Oct 4th.

What does everyone else think?

I hate it when they do reruns because then I watch them and it takes out the point of the DVD set. You can't say "oh yeah I forgot about that".

This annoyed me too! I am in the same boat as you are. They did the same thing this past Wed too. What irks me is that the Season Two DVD set doesn't come out until the typical fall line up schedule starts.

Anyone know what the dates are for Season Three to start?

You don't have to wait for the DVD of Season 2. You can also download episodes from Season 2 from Apple's iTunes (www.itunes.com) for $1.99 an episode or $35 (I think) for the whole season. (That's how I got caught up this summer after I bought the Season 1 DVD because I couldn't wait either.)

Well, it looks like the next episode they're airing on 8/2 is titled "One of Them" -- they're skipping "The Hunting Party" and "Fire + Water." Then, on 8/9 they're airing "The Whole Truth," so they're skipping "Maternity Leave."

What gives?

That's pretty bad scheduling on ABC's part.

Wait for the DVD or go round to a friend's house who's downloaded it already (I would never suggest that you download yourself as that is pretty much stealing).

Well, nevermind! Now there is no episode scheduled to air at all. It was there the other day, I swear it was! I just looked on my DirecTV guide for next Wed and it clearly says "The Whole Truth" will be aired. I guess we shall see!

I saw it say One of Them was going to come on last night but right before it came on it changed to something different. Which sucked becasue I was looking foward to watch that episode. The same thing happend last week and probally will happend next. I would just say to people to wait for the dvd or get it on Itunes.

Does anybody know WHEN "Maternity Leave" will air in rerun. Due to an power outage, I wasn't able to tape it in season, and I refuse to watch any other Losts until I see that one. I've got a whole slew of Losts I need to get caught up on, and it seems that ABC has something agaist airing Lost reruns (in leiu of George Lopez).

Well i dont know if they will be airing lost anymore but Season 2 comes out on DVD in about a month(fully) or you could buy it off itunes for 1.55 Euros, or the whole season for 31.15 Euros
