a explanation of time travel
Wow, very revealing![]()
This is a pretty important discovery right here! I'll bet this is what they're going to use in the show, that's a pretty clear model...
I really like this theory of time travel. They used it in Eureka, too.
and back to the future.
but, how does it relate to find815/lost? unless i am missing something
there was a thing on darkufo where a find815.com bumper sticker was in a marvel comic.
A bunch of Marvel releases this month have subtle hidden images crossing-over/relating to the Oceanic 6, "Find yourself", "Find 815", etc. If this is part of that series, it's by far the most relevant and descriptive of all the images found thus far, and actually has the most to do with LOST out of all of them...
You can view most of them here (spoiler, I guess?)
In those designers is explained the theory of the "multiuniverse", opposed to the "linear time".
The time line is one and only one (linear time), with "cosmic censor" to avoid paradoxes, Mrs Hawking/Hawking’s (the physicist) “proposal”, or all the infinite realities are possible and coexist in parallel dimensions and every human decision is a crossroad which takes to different universes?
….The will free exists (multiuniverse) or not (linear time)?
"Nell'universo di Minkowski, gli eventi che si sono verificati o che un giorno si verificheranno esistono già e non vi è alcuna distinzione fra passato e futuro. Ciò significa, di riflesso che non può mai accadere nulla di inaspettato. Non solo, quindi, il futuro è predeterminato, ma esiste già ed è tanto fisso e immutabile quanto il passato".
Frasi tratte da "Buchi neri, wormholes e macchine del tempo" di J. Al-Khalili, testo ufficiale della Lost University.
oh, ok... *reads*
wow, they were all little things, like numbers and the oceanic logo and stuff, and this is a big huge thing...interesting, taken from the same issue i suppose. is a nice find, it just seems to be it is more of a indirect conincidence, it woudl be an interesting hint to drop when all the others (or at least the ones @dark) were all little pretty much insignificant things.
*shrugs*
Yeah, clearly this is the mama bear of LOST/Marvel Crossovers - and I think it's purposefully tackling some heavy duty "island science" that we're going to encounter moving forward with the series. If Dark hasn't spotted it yet, I'm sure they'll come across it soon enough.
It could even be a hint to describing how Desmond might have altered events within his own past, yet the "now" we see him living thru on the show would remain unaltered. Or how we can see drastically different sides to Kate & Jack off island, etc etc. Perhaps one of the freighters will be explaining all this in an episode soon, my guess is in the Desmond-centric.
I don't think this is part of the Lost/Marvel deal.
This is the third issue in a time travel story arc and was there to explain the storyline in Fantastic Four not in Lost.
Whatever ABC paid for this promotion it must have been considerable less then the full page rate that they normally charge for advertisers.
My awesome sig was made by Kittylili

That looks almost exactly like Emmet Brown showed Marty in Back to the Future II. On a chalkboard.
As for the Marvel/LOST-crossover - I am an AVID fan of Marvel and LOST, but this is just too much marketing...
