My sentiments exactly. I never came around to really liking her. But on rewatch, I realized the writers had gotten me to hate her much less. Now I just despise her.

I think they knew it was fake but, for some reason, Naomi feels it would benefit her and her crew to tell them that. I don't know. Maybe it's an error.

ok wait, where's Sayid? It seems like Sayid should be in on the whole Des mission when Mikhail appears.

    I like Jin's father. horrible about the shame...but it's a cultural thing I'm sure I don't understand. His father's a good person.

I wouldn't trust Juliet for anything. (still think maybe her and Jack slept together or something; he just blindly trusts her now. just because she wants to get off the island, doesn't mean she isn't under Ben's sway) If Sun conceived off-island, and Juliet is to be believed (and she isn't), Sun would need all the shots that Juliet supposedly gave Claire.

and pregnant mothers didn't always have issues, I don't think. Ethan was born (and conceived?) on-island...but maybe Juliet was able to recreate all her medicine. Charlotte was born on-island. oh and Rouseau, conceived off-island - did they give her shots? that'd be before Juliet. Rousseau might be a clue that Juliet was lying about Claire.

There might not even be any pregnancy issues - just an excuse for Ben to procure Juliet.

Also, if Sun knew what her father did, then she sold Jin to her father to protect his honor? hmmm I would say it's hypocritical of her to shame him later by cheating on him, but Jin had become cold and controlling by then.

Sun must also believe in the possibility of miracles and/or the healing powers of the island, otherwise she would know that Jae-Lee is the father for certain and wouldn't follow Juliet. unless she's in denial...

secret room: where they brought women to die or where they held kidnapped pregnant women captive so they can do C-sections and steal their babies?

So I guess Sun didn't get sick because she got off the island. And as for traitor Juliet, she probably could have deserted Ben (now that the sub's gone) and sincerely tried to help the Losties and maybe they'd protect her from him. or Ben wouldn't bother killing her.

Maybe, at this point, she doesn't have the courage to stop following Ben's orders.

Sayid was not in Des's vision therefore not on the trip, and all the births you mention are PRE-INCIDENT. we are lead to believe the dying mothers are a new phenomena

As for the freighter crew not all being informed...that made perfect sense to me considering half the crew is there for scientific research the other half being mercenaries to kill Ben. No? Yes? Maybe so?

Yeah, but Miles is part of the "science" crew and he knows about it (although that's from reading a dead guy as his "audition" for Naomi). More importantly: why even have the "science team" at all? They barely communicated with Keamy so they weren't really helping him, and his was the real reason for the mission: to eliminate everyone on the island. Kinda makes you wonder why Charlotte and Dan knew to go stop the Tempest, wouldn't Widmore have been fine with Ben setting that off, in which case why would they have been given the info on how to stop it?

The problem I have here with Juliet is not so much the character herself, more the situation the writers put her in. If she was on the side of the survivors she'd tell them everything, what DHARMA were doing, what the hostiles are doing, why they're seemingly at war with survivors and what their obsession with lists is. But the writers can't have all that info come out at this point, so it makes it very frustrating, and makes you want to slap Juliet.

maybe because he wants everyone on the island dead, but Ben alive? confuses me too. Plus why would Widmore want not-Ben Others dead?

That doesn't make much sense to me either, but then we don't know the full extent of the Island's unique, "special" properties, either. Maybe he doesn't need other people around, and figures those people have all turned against him, anyway. It also may depend a bit on his relationship to Jacob and the man in black, and what level of knowledge he has regarding those two.

    *drunk post*

I posted a while back in a thread that was locked due to hostile argument. I said that The Statue was possibly built because of the male fertility. In this episode, Juliete said that male sperm counts are 5x the norm on the Island.

    Tarawet = solved
