Bogus to bring in all these new characters

Does anyone else think it is so bogus to bring in this whole "new" group of important characters at the end of season 5? I am talking about Ilana (yes, i know she and Bram were in it earlier but so minimally), Bram, and the other guy in the van, now suddenly these people are going to be important to the story line and their characters were not developed much at all until now- at the last minute- If they need to develop a whole new group of people to explain things, that is screwed up.

It might not be too much different than the mercenaries from S4, they didn't get into too much detail about them but the point was made and they were gone pretty quickly.

I agree, if this is actually a group we don't know. A fouth party besides Widmore, The Others and Dharma.

I don't agree, if they working for one of this parties (and I believe they Dharma), who came back for the great mission to get the Island back.

even if they are from Dharma, it just bugs me that these "new" people are being introduced now that we have to figure out- isn't it enough to just explain what we already have without adding a whole new element? I think it is unfair of Darlton to do that. Maybe I'm overreacting, but that's how I feel at this moment. Isn't there enough without having to add all this "shadow of the statue" people crap?

At first I was against it. I thought darlton just needed the annual group of redshirts. But now I'm getting more into it. I trust that they wouldnt add these characters unless they had a plan for them.

Yes, I am sure they have a plan for them, but instead of just wrapping up the story line using what they have, it is just too easy to go and "add" new characters to explain or clean up things. Just don't like it.

yes but it is now getting to the "end" supposedly, and these last 2 seasons are supposed to be explaining things or revealing things and answering questions, rather than adding new characters to create new ones. They shouldn't need to have new characters to explain things at this point, they should be able to do so with what they already have.

Yes, they are the ones cultivating this mystery but I don't think that intoducing new characters that are not meant to be invested in is "bogus," we need these characters for the final conflict of the story.
