Default Some Like it Hoth. Thoughts on the title meaning?

Ok normally I aviod the spoilers forum, but being a big Star Wars fan having a episode named Some Like it Hoth I just had to ask what do people think that means?

In case you don't know Hoth is the name of the ice planet in the beginning of Empire Strikes Back with the big Imperial and Rebel battle.

So will it be finnally revealed Jacob is in fact Darth Vader?

    Any thoughts?

    Rumors from awhile ago

    Spoiler Below
Miles walks in on a few Dharmafolk watching Star Wars, and ruins the big secret for them that Darth Vader is Luke's father. A New Hope came out in 1977, so it's not entirely unlikely.

Silly theory, but I'd love to see that scene if it really was true.

hopefully something star wars related makes it to the episode, it has to with the name hoth in it. But since Vader is revealed to be Luke's father in Empire which came out in the 80's I dont know how that would be a big deal in 77, maybe he ruins the ending for the end of a new hope, but then again why would hoth be in the title if it wasn't a reference towards the second movie which hoth was in!! It is also a play on words, some like it hot is the original saying, and hoth is COLD planet, so maybe is just has something to do with Miles ability to communicate with the (cold) dead.

that would be a HUGE reveal for anyone watching A New Hope!!

However, I'm doubtful that ANH came out on VHS in 1977, I'm sure the delay was more in the YEARS rather than months that it is now...
    I need a sig......

Some Like it Hot (Not Hoth) was a movie that originated in the 1930s and was later remade in the 1950s. It centered around a couple of guys who dressed up as women to avoid the mob after witnessing one of their murders. It's actually mostly comedy.

I would guess the simularity here is when Miles and Hurly show up to meet up with Chang - there's a dead body already there, whom we don't know (will find out tonight!), and all of the survivors - who are pretending to be Dharma - are forced into an even more compromising situation about it. Plus Hurly and Miles (his lil buddy) are kinda quirky together and they both can see dead people. Most likely its indicated that they will be chased and have to go to extreme measures to avoid being captured by Radinsky and the gang.

I think on the Star Wars front maybe Hurly and Miles are just talking about Star Wars - something like, "Dude this is the year Star Wars was released." And have a whole conversation about the subject which someone overhears.

I don't know if Dharma had enough clout -though they might- to actually have a private screening of Star Wars, as the VHS wasn't really in vogue then and it was previous to even a larger portable media such as those huge disks my father brought home when I was about 5 or 6 (and I was born in '78). So in reality I don't know how they could spoil the ending of Star Wars, unless someone was talking about leaving the Island to go see it.

Maybe some of the guys dress up like women from the planet Hoth in Star Wars. Could explain the title.
[SPOILER]Lost ends with Kate killing everyone for a better toy plane.[\SPOILER] Oops!

The planet Hoth appears in Empire.

Luke finds out Vader is his father in Empire.

A loose connection could be Miles discovering that Chang is his father in this episode.

    This sounds very possible.
