I noticed this article on the Yahoo7 website and thought it would be newsworthy to the folk here at Lostpedia. Feel free to hurl abuse at me if this had already been mentioned - but it's the first I've heard of it...

Matthew Fox to quit TV

Matthew Fox won't make another TV show when 'Lost' ends.

The actor - who plays Dr. Jack Shephard in the cult US series - believes his small-screen career will be over when the programme finishes at the end of season six next year.

He said: "I'm pretty sure that will be the last television thing that I will do." Matthew believes his character has become a firm favourite with fans of the show because he isn't perfect.

He explained: "We didn't want Jack to be a classic archetype of a hero, riding in to save the day. People aren't that way. People have flaws and heroism comes from rising above those flaws."

Matthew admits his dream role would be to play Steve McQueen in a biopic.

He said: "Steve McQueen was pretty f**king cool. He was an action guy and a man of few words and he liked his roles like that."

I think he will change his mind eventually. If a role of this caliber came his way again, I feel like he would be hard pressed to turn it down.

You can't top his TV career man... you've got Party of Five, the main part in Haunted (lol anyone else actually see this show?) and now LOST... so, TV is totally whatever to him now... he's on to bigger and better screens.

I hope LOST doesn't curse it's cast like Seinfeld or Gilligans Island.

I've never heard of Haunted. I assume it was just before Lost.
