Suns talk with Ji Yeon

So this might be a short thread but I dont know anyone who likes talking about Lost as much as all of you...which is probably why so many of us write so many ridiculous things, we want to share our thoughts with people who know the show, no matter how crazy it sounds

Did anyone else notice somethign strange about when Sun was on the phone with Ji Yeon, I believe the opening scene of TPID...
Suns talking about how she found a new friend for her in America, Aaron. This seemed really creepy to me, like as if she wants Aaron to be with Ji Yeon for some reason...theres no real evidence except the tone in her voice and the way i interpreted it...did anyone else think this was strange or did yu just think she was tellin Ji Yeon?

No, it wasn't strange. Sun was sounding all creepy cause she was in Super-Ben-Death-Mode.

it was kind of weird, not so much her mentioning aaron but the rest of the convo. i got the feeling that sun barely knows her daughter, because she isn't there all that often. also she was getting ready to kill ben when she called, so sun wasn't in the mood to be a mother.

Meh, it didn't strike me as odd. I've told my kids that I've met new friends for them at a conference, church, some other random place when I meet a kid around their age. Especially if they are going to be meeting the new kid soon

Yeah...Sun was in a revenge mode....but I think she also hasn't been with Ji Yeon a lot either....almost neglected in a way.

I didn't see anything strange about it. I personally am not a parent, however parents usually tell their children about their friends children. If sun and kate are friends, i think it would be safe to say one day aaron and ji yeon will probably meet one day. It was just a typical parent/child conversation to me..however it may have a specific meaning, only time will tell.
