We have a light dusting in central Scotland, and it's snowing again now.

I'm going to move this thread to the UKForum.
    Thank you LC

Every school in the area has decided to close here, except the one I work at.
Everyone is annoyed, staff, kids and parents. They think they've made a dangerous decision in order to make the attendance figures look good.

Its just kicking off here, but they're saying college might be closed tomorrow or maybe even later today! I hope it does get shut tomorrow, I've got a full day otherwise.

down in Portsmouth we've had about 2/3 inches. not often it sets this close to the sea so you're happy.

Doesn't usually set here often either... me and a friend had sort of a mini snow fight earlier (she owned me), very mature for a pair of 17 year old A level students

Yup, snowing here in Southampton. Quite a few inches of snow has settled... hasn't snowed like this here for 5 years and it's probably heavier.

I agree with Pulse: - Southampton was covered at 7:00 am this morning. there was a couple of inches in most places

Went to work in Winchester ( normally 30 min drive, took 2 hours!) to find no-one else there & our Head of Department had advised that non-essential staff needn't be there.
Still snowing & looks likely to be as bad, or worse, tomorrow

    *hooray*
    Thanks for the Memories!
