Did you listen or read? Anonymous is pretty convinced that they will harm innocent people... but maybe you know better than them or think they are lying?

Right, that's kind of what I thought too...
i suppose that would be direct fallout affecting innocent people. however why should their bosses be excluded from prosecution for taking a bribe? thats kind of the whole point behind this threat. an associate of theirs got 50 years for a victimless crime, where as if youre a banker and you lie cheat and steal and bankrupt an entire population youre immune cause you have hush money.

I would have gone with you to the end, into the very fires of Mordor

Nice information.
Remember when I posted that thing about Anonymous trying to bring the Steubenville High School Rape case to national attention. Well the case is over and the two kids out of dozen+ kids involved got found guilty. They both got only one freaking year in juvenile jail, and the one that posted the video of it got an extra year for disseminating nude photos of a minor. Technically they can be held til their 21, but don't count on it. And they also have to register as sex offenders for some time, but its all basically a crappy verdict.
They are looking into charging the other people involved like the local football high school coach and party bystanders, but its not likely they'll prosecute.

Yeah, I've been following the case since you brought it up. Hard not to since I have so many feminist and libertarian friends on fb.
The way the news was reporting it was absurd, very empathetic to the rapists. The onion really got the satire of it spot on: http://www.theonion.com/video/colleg...s-tragi,19097/
Also - the apology from the rapist was one of 'we should never have posted pictures, or even taken any.' Yeah - he's not sorry he raped her, just that he took photos of it and posted them and got caught.
Few learned anything about what's wrong with not treating other human beings with dignity... only about the bummer of it being illegal.
