Freighter people NOT doing the rescuing of the losties.......WOW!!

Could be Penny's people then, and that spectacular kiss they're on about (in another thread) could be Penny and Desmond reunited.

Can't wait for the finale.

I vote that penny saves them. It would tie in nicely with her conversation with Desmond in 4x05.

After seeing what happened to the freighter, I questioned if it would be even possible for Captain Gault to rescue them. Makes a lot of sense if it was Penny. Very interesting father vs. daughter thing going there.

Hhhhm, Penny would be great as the rescuer. The only reason I don't think it will be Penny is because of the similarity of Des and Penny to Odysseus and Penelope. In The Odyssey, it's Odysseus who makes the long trek back to a waiting Penelope. Just my two cents though.

We also know that some of the Freighter people attack Locke's camp. My question is, who is left on the freighter to keep an eye on Desmond, Michael, and Sayid? Could they overtake the freighter and rescue the O6 themselves? Could Lapidus' return from his errand be involved in the rescue? I'll be the odd man out and say a redemptive Michael is the rescuer. Ugh, 8 more days until the return of Lost! I can't wait to see what goes down!

I'm pretty sure their rescue has something to do with the Orchid station. Damon hinted on the podcast that the Orchid had transported the polar bear to Tunisia, so I guess it could transport the Oceanic 6 home as well.

Exactly how it works though, who knows.
