Richard And The Temple

A bit of speculation on my part. We know that Flocke beats up Richard outside of the Statue, and tells The Others he's "Very disappointed in you all." I'm thinking that Flocke takes over The Others from this point. We know from the set reports that Richard arrives at The Temple and mends the fences between the Losties and The Temple Others, and I'm still convinced it takes place in 2007. Richard has had enough from Flocke, and he's going to ask Dogan for help taking him out.

I disagree. Richard told Sun "I watched them all die" referring to her hubby and the rest of the pack. He did so in 1977 since they didn't skip after jughead was detonated at the Swan's site

Hi, I'm new to this forum. But been lurking for a while.

IMO, from reading some of the spoilers. Jack and co are still in '77. I think they've visited the temple and will meet Jacob there. Jacob will hear their story and arrange to go meet (and touch them for an unknown reason) in the real world, as seen in the Incident. Bit like how Richard visted Locke as a child was a huge mystery but turned out it was because Locke told him to. They will also tell him they came on flight AJIRA 316 in 2008, which will be why Jacob set the Others the task of building the runway in season 3.

This is my prediction anyway, could be wrong.

Cindy is said to be present with The Others at The Temple, so I don't think its 1977.

Given how she acted when we last saw her, I don't think so. I think she went through a process that made her a full fledged Other. I think Juliet was affected by the time-flashes simply because she's no longer an Other. They marked her, remember?

Well we aren't really sure why some people flash and some don't for sure yet. But the commentary on Because You Left is the only explaination that comes close:

"Our characters time travel to events in the history of the island.It might feel a little bit cliffhangery that every time one of our charcters is in mortal peril, the sky lights up, but in fact that is the Island's design.Our characters are not supposed to die.They are brought to these periods of time to accomplish very specific goals"

Maybe the island brought Cindy to this period of time because she had to accomplish a specific goal. We're not sure yet.

The biggest problem for me with S6 is how they get back to the present. The thought that detonating the bomb would conveniently send them to the present really disapoints me. I hope it's a bit more cleverer then that.

Well it really wouldn't dissapoint me if detonating jughead sent them back to 2007, I really hated the split timeline stuff in S5 so I don't want to see much more of it in S6. The Losties are inevitably going to return to the present at some point, so I'm eager for it to happen as early as possible. And judging by the fact that a bright light is seen in the sky after Flocke and Ben exit the statue, I'd say its likely that its the Losties returning to the present.
The only thing I'd like to see in 1977 is young Ben returning to DHARMA, and I doubt that we'll see that anyway.

Well, I'd be more disapointed if they started traveling through an alternate timeline, or stayed in 1977. Thankfully, the first option doesn't seem to be likely.

Also, Richard's absence in the recent reports on seems to indicate he's somewhere else. Given how he was earlier reported to be with The Losties and Dogan's crew at The Temple, I figure that's where he is now.
