So I was watching Lost Season 4 on Blu Ray the other day (which looks great btw) and I noticed something. When I was watching I kept noticing these "white specs or dots" that kept popping up during episodes. My question is this, are these white dots or specs normal? are they part of the film? Or are my disks defective or something? Any help is much appreciated.

most likely "digital noise" happens alot which high-def content.

Lost is shot on fillm so it may be dirt/dust from the original negative or on the telecine machine during the transfer.

Sounds kinda.. lame.. though.
I was planning on getting a Blu Ray player next year, after downloading Watchmen in HD on the XBL movie store and being blown away by the awesomeness of it.. But if there's little scratchy dot things on playing actual Blu Ray discs, I might wait until the standard gets higher

I've got the first 4 seasons all on Blu-Ray (and getting season 5 for Christmas
) , and none of mine have had these issues. You might want to check the disk(s) on a different player with different cables. The problem could be anywhere in there.
