The next LOST game needs to be real.
Heres what will make it one of the best games
I'll paste what i posted on gamefaqs.com Yea they shuld do an RPG type LOST. Make the island like really huge actual size. I would love that. They can make it long and just do the actual story line instead of adding fake characters. But to make it have replay value you should be able to go through story mode with atleast 4-10 different main characters. for example: Jack, Locke, Sawyer, Kate ...... And lets say i chose to do it with Locke, well than i would be going through the LOST story but the way Locke did. Like i would be the one with Boone out in the jungle exploring and finding that plane and the hatch and all. All different characters have the story line they went through, but at the same time going through the actual Lost story line.Like for the last episode of season 2 when the Desmond turns the fail safe key and when Jack, Sawyer and Kate get captured by the others, well, If you chose Jack you would eventually get captured on the deck by the others but during that same time if you chose to be Locke you would be in the hatch when its about to blow up. ya get me? different characters to go through the story with, but every character has their real LOST story line Whats highlighted in bold is what needs to happen. they can even do online. i might be getting carried away when i say this but they can do online like the sims sort of. You and up to 10 people can get into one community and pick people from the island and just live there and do all different things. Explore and shit. If they had this i don't think i would ever stop playing the game lol

Thats the plan for the next one. They are PROBABLY starting to develop it once the show is over. The only reason it was soo restricted was because they were very limited in what they could actually do, Because the show wasn't over

yea , it was ok via domus , but my expectations were so big it was going to be tough . Hope they make a new lost game , and pretty much everything you mentioned as ideas would be perfect to me

It needs to be an RPG/Sandbox style game. I do agree that it would be nice to see it follow the actual story of the show w/ the player playing as the actual characters. As a lot of people are saying it needs to be like "Oblivion"/"Fallout 3". Bethesda knows how to make the perfect modern day RPG, if they got the license that would be awesome, but I doubt that is going to happen. Ubisoft isn't really the best at RPGs.

Is this because a new Lost game is being developed ?
And a GTA style island mapping would be ace with multiplayer tasks and onlinez to meet up etc I mean the Test drive map is based on Hawaii after all.

All ideas sound great!
Main thing is that the whole island needs to be made available... so u dont have to necesarily do the "missions" but u can fool around and explore.. then, whithin the jungle hide special perks to loyal fans... like for example mini games like driving through check points with the dharma van.... something along those lines..making it really rewarding for the player!! The game should only be released after the season finale...so that every aspect of the show is able to be used... Have to admit that i thought that the whole memory capture with the camera in flash backs was a good idea and way of incorporating the characters past into the game.... so something along those lines needs to be done again... so that just about anyone can pick up and play... learning the story as they go! Playing the story as different characters is also a must.... so that you arent done in just 8 hours or whatever and then its gathering dust... Real voices must be used for ALL characters this time.... might not make a difference to a regular video gamer but any lost fan will cringe at the poorly impersonated voices if they have to endure them again! As for aspects of online play... would be great if a group of players could do co-op play on missions... and within a party having each person assigned to a specific character... so that their individual attributes come into play... also would be fun to introduce team battle games... like losties vs. others in capture the flag mode or something.... thats my two cents for now lol....

oh and please last but not least.... give us a button to SKIP scenes.. it's been annoying me senseless that every time i restarted (cause yes.. i did play it more than once) i had to sit through the little scenes..
 being chased by smokey and failing misserably several times, i just would have liked to 'restart' and just restart, if you know what i mean..
