Personally, I loved the way they did Find 815 storyline. Though I found the games and such a bit cheesy, I did enjoy one could sit down and watch the story be presented as if it were an episode of Lost.
i wasn't around for Find815 and have not had free time to read the old forum (to get the jist of it)...i do know: fans liked it best, it had LOST back/side story, new characters...

in general i don't like the idea of random, non-cannon characters, but agree they can be used creatively so i'm not totally against it...still, the best possible format they could use is to have an ARG that links directly to the show...it can go off on a tangent (give more indepth info than the episodes could ever provide or yes, even use filler for entertainment purposes) but it should finish by MATCHING UP with what we get on our TVs...find815 gave backstory on hanso right?...how much of that transferred to the show?...my point is there must be a payoff onscreen, even if it's something minor it would be the best reward for participants...

OGR/DI recruitment started with promise, that chang video really set the stage, seemed a plot would run thru the game and into S5...the tests were fine (they fit the theme) but in the end the narrative was very sloppy...the ajira promo was illogical...clearly some of us are gluttons for punishment, but we players are a smart bunch who pay attention to detail and they should cater to that...casual fans may take more of an interest if the game is actually aligned with the show vs a pointless time killer...

-most importantly we should have to work for advancements rather than wait around for stuff to happen/be fed to us

-solving something should take time, give people a chance to tune in and participate, things should not be figured out by three people in a half hour!

-material could be presented in different places...either have one site that unlocks seperate areas as things are solved or use multiple sites one leading to another (better)...a story-road should be paved so that late comers can potentially traverse on their own...people shouldn't be saying "oh, it's solved. nevermind."

-material could be presented in different forms...we're good with anagrams, alot could be done with numbers, maybe create an image with clues hidden within it similar to the blast door map or the swan wall mural...info gained from these kinds of things would be the un/pw for which ever area/site...a strong narrative can easily manipulate a multitude of hosts...mix it up, this allows more people to shine as we all have different skills

-i have alot of ideas but they are trapped in my head, believe it or not i feel like i'm having a hard time articulating them...

personally i'd prefer it if the activity specifically lead into S6 with very pointed results, but it's a curious thing now that we are nearing completion...as the show resolves itself in its entirety there is potential to base an ARG on LOST history/events instead of one main theme...trying to understand and figure out the show has always been the the big thing for fans so it's a no brainer...

shot in the dark: the ARG action guides us thru hardcore LOST info (go lostpedia!)...it all surmounts to a list...X number of scenes...we'll have found text (snippets of dialogue), videos (aired footage, chang style videos), etc, etc...we'll have been provided with some insight into S6 so it's not all old hat..with this whittled down pile of info we should be able to formulate a decent theory...reward number 1 is to simply feel good, to know your chicken as S6 begins...reward number 2 is a theory contest???...decent prizes to top contenders???

since this will be their last chance to do something big for the fans whatever it is i just hope it's good/relevant/detailed/exciting...

YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES

I've never participated in the LOST ARGs, since I started watching the show during Season 4. I tried DHARMA Recruiting Project. It was awful.
I want a REAL ARG! Bring it on!
