The mobius strip structure reminds me of the move Lost Highway. Anyone see it? It ends with the main character outside his own house, giving an important message over the intercom, which the main character hears at the very beginning of the movie.

Take a strip of paper and just twist one end. Then, while the paper is still twisted, tape it closed so that it's a twisted loop. Then cut along the middle of the strip all the way around. Instead of cutting the ring in two and creating two rings like intuition would suggest, you instead end up with one bigger loop, uncurled.
If you've never done this you should try it. It's so trippy.
