Once you think about it, this is a good "lost lovers" game. Never looked at the game this way before.

I loved BioShock well before I got into Lost. The story just feels so much different than any game I've ever played, and it thrives because of this. The way the audio diaries spell out what happened in Rapture and how well that pushes the story forward. It's a great buy. It was a steal that my sister-in-law got it on her b-day and let me borrow it.
But if you want to find them, there are definitely comparisons. Locke would be the main character, while Atlas would be "the Island" in a sense. A man chooses; a slave obeys. Now, would you kindly go to the ABC studios and get me an early copy of S5 on DVD?

Lost fans should really try Shadow of the Colossus. I know if you are a Lost fan than you probably like mystical storylines.
The story is really only told at the beginning and end of the game, but it is EPIC. You play as a young boy (officially, the creators have his name as Wander or the Wanderer, but it is never said in the game). He is travelling to this forbidden land where the myth is that there exists a god-like entity with the power to return life to the dead. Wander brings a fallen maiden to this land, in hopes of resurrecting her. And indeed, in a massive temple, resides this entity called Dormin. Of course though, he will not bring her back for nothing. Wander must slay the incarnations of the 16 idols found inside this temple, and Dormin will then grant life to the young girl. Those 16 incarnations are colossi that are found throughout the forbidden lands. This is the epic ending: Spoiler Below Wander destroys the 16 colossi, but unfortunately he was being manipulated by Dormin. Dormin was actually trapped in these forbidden lands, with his power sealed away in each of the colossi. As Wander slays each colossus, the power of Dormin is released from each one and into Wander. When the last one is slayed, Dormin is now freed and takes over Wanders body (and grows into a huge shadow Colossus). But the men who arrived to stop Wander are there, and the Shaman destroys the reincarnated Dormin. This destroys Wander in the process. However, oddly enough, Dormin kept his word and granted life back to the young girl. The very very end of the game that I didn't write out would only be understood if you played the previous game ICO. Shadow of the Colossus is not officially a sequel to ICO, but lets just say that the games are "related".
