I remember Locke was revealed later in S1 that he was the one who knocked Sayid out in the early attempt to triangulate the signal of Rousseau's loop, so they stayed on the island as he believed it had cured him.
But what episode was this, who did Locke tell (if not Sayid, does Sayid know), and what was the reaction. Lostpedia doesn't really have the detail I want. It diverted me to Pilot: Part 2 for when Locke admitted to it. (Watch this now, someone will have an obvious link to my answers!) Thanks...

It was in the greater good, he told sayid and the reaction was that sayid pointed is gun at Locke.
Correct me if i'm wrong!

I remember it now, thanks! The link in Sayid's page on Lostpedia about it says The Greater Good, but links to Pilot Part 2....
Locke said to Sayid about it being dangerous or something, didn't he, when he explained to Sayid, which could have been true, they didn't know anything about Rousseau. I don't think Locke was being entirely selfish, but thanks. Locke led Sayid to the plane and later the hatch because of this and Sayid saving Locke when Shannon tried to kill him. Thanks again.

Something I never understood was that Locke said he knocked him out because he said it was leading them to the dark territory? At that time, they never even mentioned the dark territory. I wonder if this was just a small error on the part of the writers, or I just missed something here.

LOCKE: You were hit from behind -- knocked unconscious? When you woke up your transceiver, your equipment was destroyed. That was me. COMMERCIAL BREAK [Sayid grabs Locke by the neck and puts the gun to his throat.] SAYID: This is one time you'd better not be telling the truth. LOCKE: I did what was in everyone's best interest. SAYID: You ruined my chance to find the source. LOCKE: The source of a distress call that kept saying they're dead, it killed them all, over and over? Is that a place you really want to lead people to? SAYID: Why wait all this time? Why not tell me then? LOCKE: Because back then you wouldn't have engaged in reasonable debate, and nobody else would have. You were all so focused on getting off the island that you weren't seeing things clearly. It's like what's happening now with the raft.
