Apparently, being next to a bomb going off kills you. Who knew?
Not sure if this counts as a spoiler, but some are contained within.

Of course the bomb killed her. If it didn't, then it must not have gone off. But it did. You can't be next to a bomb that goes off and not die.
But this doesn't mean that she can't exist in some alternate timeline and that's probably how we'll see her again. If the bomb changed the past and stopped 815 from crashing, then that means the losties wouldn't be there to detonate the bomb in the first place, so obviously what happened happened and the detonation is the Incident which created the Swan anomaly which caused 815 to crash, as Miles implied...

while some will probably disagree, i'm not convinced the bomb went of...i think its more likely that Juliet died/dies from injuries sustained (internal bleeding) from the 100+ foot fall down the drill shaft...if Jug Heads fission core did detonate and thats what killed her, its likely anyone near the swan site would join her and would probably leave a mile wide crater in the island..but, i could be wrong...

They are confirming the bomb did go off then. That was the only question I had. No doubt she died if it did.

To me, I am glad this is cleared up. I'm one of those skeptics that just didn't trust Juliet. That she died supposedly to save the losties says a lot.
She wouldn't die because of some greater good whether it be for the "light" side or the "dark," would she? |

If you listen to the sound when the the scene goes all white, it's clearly the sound of an explosion... I didn't think it was ambiguous in the slightest, and I don't think it was intended to be.

Well I do think they intended it to be a bit ambiguous, hence them flashing "lost" at the exact moment the bomb detonated. Otherwise, they might have shown a bit of the explosion first then flash.
But between the 100 foot drop (with metal chains weighing you down) and the core of an H bomb, what exactly are your chances for survival? LOL So the result should have been obvious. |

some people are crying over this nonetheless
and unfortunately, with this alt crap going on, looks like they could still find reasons to bring her back.
