Heroes ARG

Apparently Heroes is going the extra mile to emulate the serial drama that is Lost.

Now there is a ARG (alternate reality game) for the Heroes hiatus that just started.

It annoys me in the UK the information on the program is is "The New Lost..." and it's no way near as good. An ARG, that is just copying! They have a silly spin-off with voting in a new character. Perhaps we will start voting in a new islander or choose which question we get answered first.

I LOVE Heroes and it's in no way storywise similar to LOST... but they had an ARG already... is this a new one?

I haven't seen Heroes but the fact they're trying to compete with Lost puts me off. Don't try and be the next Lost, be the first Heroes.

I watched the pilot episode of Heroes...boring and nothing special. It didn't make me want to continue watching the show.

heros is for people who cant understand lost or are not patient enough for lost, i watched finale and what a cop out, the fight was hyped off entire season and all that came off it was a lil fist fight

you people are way to judgmental. Have you never gone to see a movie strictly for the fun rollercoaster ride? Or gone to see a superman/spiderman movie just so you can watch and be entertained without having to think about it too much?!?

Curb.. if nobody competed with LOST, what would be the point? If nobody competed with McDonalds wouldnt people get bored with filet-o-fish?

Well if you would watch it without having such a judgmental opinion, maybe youd see they arent trying to be ANYTHING LIKE LOST. It is the first heroes (rather 2nd Mutant x, but the diff is this ones actually good lol), and they've never claimed to be LOST. The only thing hanging you people up on that rack is the fact that the producers are friends with Damon and JJ.. guess what, so is Steven King.. next thing you know all of you will come down on him.

I wish everyone would stop being so hypocritical and let the people who enjoy watching series' like this for fun, have their fun Besides.. I dont want anything to be as good as LOST because then my favorite show would be discredited.. Yeah, like the only show all of you watch is LOST.. I dont buy it. And at least these people are trying to entertain, and you dont make much money putting an ARG together, so its strictly for the fans and their enjoyment.. IMO there is nothing better than a company willing to shell out some dough so I can keep entertained.

And they actually HAD an ARG already, so at least they are putting their chips back into the pot for round 2.. thats something LOST cant say, as of yet.

I think you're overreacting quite a bit, a few people (or "you people") say they don't like Heroes and suddenly everyone is being hypocritical and not letting people have fun watching Heroes.

I love Heroes because it is actually like the real adaptation of X-Men, rather than the movies... and besides, it is totally made like a comic-book, hence the ending of the season...

Best Thing I've read all day. I hate Lost fans calling Heroes "The New Lost", and I hate Lost fans calling people who watch Heroes, "unintelligent." Can't I like both series?!!? We keep calling Lost "the thinking man's show" and their so-called "ambitious literal and philosophical references." Are they that ambitious, though. It's just referencing a book or philosopher. Heck, The Office mentioned Catch-22. Does that make it a thinking man's show?

I'm not trying to attack Lost or Lost fans, but seriously. Did anyone read This article on DarkUFO? This Lost fan is exactly the thing that's annoying me. He feels so special and smart and cool cause he watches Lost, and gets angry when another show steals a little bit of Lost's thunder by being really good TV. Both shows are great, both have their problems.

Lost is still my favorite show. But it has not lived up to some of its hype and you know they are making a LOT of this up as they go along. Tim Kring wrote out Season 1 as a complete story arc. It can stand on it's own and be enjoyed. And he had the story arc planned when he was writing the story. People enjoyed it, and are still looking forward to Season 2.

Sorry, just lettin off some steam. They're both great shows. Heroes does not copy Lost in any way. lost does not copy Heroes in any way. Let them both be good. Let them both have an ARG. period.

P.S. Does anyone have a link to where I can start and/or get info on the Heroes ARG?
