Default Is this game worth getting?

I've always been curious, but I've never been close to getting it. What do you guys think?

It's 100% non-canon. It's got about 4 people actually doing their actual voices from the show. The game is really out of date, like up to season 2. And worst of all, the game is freaking awful, its a 4 out of 10 at best. DON'T buy it, unless it's five bucks.

It is not 100% non-canon. Part of the game is canon. The following from Via Domus is considered canon (see Lostpedia's canon policy):

*The blast door map with new citations (confirmed as canon in Access: Granted)
*The Incident Room and the interiors of the DHARMA stations including the Swan, Flame, and Hydra (confirmed as canon by interviews with Gadi Pollack, and since the blueprints of the stations came from ABC)

If you're a die-hard Lost fan who appreciates the detail of the show, I would definitely get the game. It is cool to explore more of what is not seen on the show (such as the Swan reactor, Hydra tunnels, and Flame basement). All of these are considered canon, so it's like an add-on to your Lost experience. Despite a plethora of negative reviews, the game is definitely worth the money.

I would say im a die-hard Lost fan and i thought it devauled the brand if anything. It depends if your a video-game fan, do you like playing garbage games? It may be Lost but it's garbage, it won't give you a greater insight into the show, and it may not be 100% non-canon but it is at least 90% non-canon, a huge waste of time.

I thought it was fun, but the game sort of imploded on me in the middle of the second level. I think my graphics card wasn't good enough or something. Make sure you have the right specs if you buy it, otherwise it turns into a paper weight.

Still, I think it's worth it. The first level, and the beginning of the second level, at least, were really fun.

I'm glad to find this thread. I just broke down and ordered it (used) off of Amazon today. I'm not a huge gamer, but I feel bad that my 360 is gathering dust, (especially since I won it in the "divorce" of my last relationship). What pushed me over the edge was rereading the blast door map page on the wiki. I dig the idea of getting to explore the landscape (this is my gamer forte. You go fight the Flood, I'm gonna explore the ship). I don't really expect it to be some big reveal. Sounds like I won't be disappointed.

Probably going to buy it for PC. I'm not a huge gamer either, but sometimes I indulge. I liked Half-Life and Portal. I like killing things and exploring.

Eh, I wouldn't buy it unless you can get it cheap.

Even if you're into the 'exploration' aspect, you should know, there's not much to explore. most of the travel is quick-travel, except for a couple of forest quests, but even those are mostly linear.

Walking around the Swan was cool, though, as well as seeing behind the wall.

Grimace, you don't kill much. Just a few Others here and there.
