Agreed on Sally.

No, this wasnt the first ep I have seen. I have seen them so piecemeal I cant even keep the sidekicks straight.

But it was a great ep. I love the show for the unabashed B movie giddiness. Good times.

There was a press screening of Waters of Mars the otherday they have a review up at http://www.bleedingcool.com/2009/10/...mars-spoilers/ it does contain spoilers though so only read it if you want them, personally I just scanned it quickly. Among the things I read were

Quote:
Definitely one of the best episodes ever. I mean top ten. Seriously.

This ep puts you through the emotional wringer. Perhaps it’s not so hopeless-feeling as the Torchwood Children Of Earth but without doubt Waters Of Mars is mining the same sort of territory and it’s the closest Doctor Who will ever come to nihilism. Well, fatalism is probably a better word.
It airs in a few weeks right?

Yeah, although I'm not sure what to think of the Doctor going a bit mad with power towards the end, you know, thinking he can do anything at all.

I love you Tennant, don't want you to leave. Such a great Doctor.

Bit miffed about Donna and Gramps returning. :/ And the Ood. They're a little boring to me.

Loved the Flood in Waters of Mars. And loved the ending too.

The end of Water of Mars was good, saw the girls suicide coming, though.

For anyone who wants to see it, the clip of 'The End of Time' from Children in Need can be seen here:

I like the look of the Ood Elder, and his voice is nice to, different from the others.

I hated it. HATED it.

I found the whole storyline boooooooring. I hate the master, it's so boring.
And then did you see the bloody preview! THEY'RE BRINGING BACK ALL THE BLOODY TIMELORDS! I feel cheated.

I didn't like it either. The scene where they resurrected the Master felt like a cross between Voldemort's resurrection in Harry Potter and the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark. And they characterised the Master as a kind of "super hero" villain, kinda like something you'd see on Heroes. The gate thing they had remineded me of Stargate (which I've never even watched) and I felt the entire thing was tacky and unoriginal. It seems like every episode of Doctor Who is now about the end of time nearing and the Doctor saving the universe at the last moment.

And the Time Lords back??? You can't do that, that's like ending Lost with it all beeing a dream. You watch a show for so long that you can't just cheat the audience like that. The Time Lords all died decades ago, you can't resurrect them after that long. I'd like to see how they all survived the Time War, probably jumped into another dimension at the last moment or something. (perhaps that shoud be in spoiler tags)
