Well the game finally tied into the show with the mention of the Christiane I and the finding of 815.
The only thing is that the voices of the people finding the plane were nothing like the characters in the game. The rest of the details, the location, and the fact that it was a salvage vessel that was looking for old ships all fits in, but the dialogue of the actual finding does not. So we have a continuity problem. In the game it is Sam that finds it. But I'm willing to overlook this and still thinkt he marketing dept. did a great job of making fun side content to tie into the show. Hopefully there is more though with that Maxwell Group site.

Could be part of the conspiracy/coverup?
Meaning, what we saw could have been purposely filmed to give to the press as "evidence", as they apparently showed rotting corpses on the news to get people's attention, it certainly got Frank's attention... |

It's not a continuity problem, it's just that different production teams made the show and the game and they weren't using the same data (probably TPTB didn't allow it)... the game was just for fun, the show is for real.

tptb said that 815 was cannon, so i wouldn't call one "fun" and one "real".
ever since naomi said that they had found their plane underwater, i've thought the whole thing was a "wag the dog" kinda of thing, where they create whatever evidence they need to make it look like what they want it to look like (in wag the dog, they created a war on a soundstage, in lost, they create a plane wreck.) i think that perhaps sam did find the plane on the floor of the ocean. but then the battery ran out. so even if they had dumped even a tail of the plane on the bottom of the ocean (something that wouldn't be too hard to do for the right price), they created the rest of the "footage" on a soundstage or in minature. that would explain the different voices. it doesn't explain away talbot's interview about sam finding the wreckage and the show's rov guys sounding surprised to find it. but wait! no one really knows what sam's voice sounds like (except us find815ers), so they could use whatever voice they wanted to during the "discovery." and with that solved, i can go to sleep
