Is it possible for me to join the Forum Patrol or do you need to have like over 2,000 posts? Because I'd love to help...

I really dont think it has anything to do with the amount of posts you have. Not everyone over 2000 has the status. :) .

The new forum patrol members were chosen because they are devoted and respected members who are willing to help the moderators here.
They were not chosen because of post count. That would be ridiculous. :p

We don't need any more "official" help right now, but everyone can help in their own way.

If you see a spoiler in the main forum, you can report the post (http://forum.lostpedia.com/showpost.php?p=77314&postcount=10) to us.
You can also refer people to previously discussed topics, or quote the forum rules (http://forum.lostpedia.com/showthread.php?t=3210) in a situation that requires them. :)
There are many ways to help, even if you don't have some fancy title. :p

We'll even give you the same salary that the Mods receive if you help like Kitty suggested!

Which is sadly nothing...but you get the idea... :D

Please note that doesn't mean that the non-selected, but yet devoted, respected, willing members are ignored. If it does, then I will kill a pug and send its remains to Kitty, but there Admin has a policy that 90% of all moderating staff must have some form of mental difficulties. :p

Actually, it was timezones that dictated a lot.

Apparently I only just missed out. ;)

It explains why Curby was promoted anyway. :p

Nothing will ever explain why Curby was promoted...I don't even know why we promoted Curby

How do you figure that?

KittyLili114

Because the more diversity we have of timezones among the mods, the better.

Huh I guess I never noticed that before.

Gee, how stereotypical American do you want to get, BCEW? :D

I figured as Kitty told me. ;) It makes sense anyway.

Yeah I guess so. Gah I would hate so much to be a mod. :D I know I'd never be made one but yeah that would suck. :D No offense mods. ;)

I wouldn't mind actually. Probably as I have reached the point where I see LP differently, and feel responsible for it. :o And I like to help, I don't mind doing things like that. I'd probably quite like it. At least that way when I tell people not to do something, I don't look arrogant but it's my job. :o

Modding would be cool. (As long as I didn't turn out like Curby.)

Yeah I'm the opposite the people on LP are so awesome I don't want to moderate them, I would hate to have that responsibility. Like school would be great if we didn't have to get good grades. :D But right on to the mods though, somebodies gotta do it. ;)

I don't get it. :D

Michael: Reverse psychology is an awesome tool. I don't know if you guys know about it, but basically you make someone think the opposite of what you believe and that tricks them into doing something stupid. Works like a charm.

Ben uses it all the time. He tells you to do the exact opposite of what he really wants you to do. Then when you do what he really wants you think it's your own idea and you're doing because he doesn't want you to. ie. Locke and submarine
