I'm a big-time LOST fan & have been looking for a forum to post to. I don't have much experience w/ message boards of this sort, so please be patient w/me. I'll probably lurk for a while to get the lay of the land. After that, watch out though! My hubby doesn't watch the show much, so I have a lot of pent up LOST theories just waiting to come out!! :D

This person was just trying to introduce themselves, as is a common practice in the civilized world. If it became an overly common thing to start threads of introduction, they would be stashed away in a separate category and therefore not invasive to those who just want to discuss the show. It isn't a problem. As Myk said, if you don't care, don't comment.

We aren't members (or at least I'm not) but I do enjoy reading and sometimes contributing to the threads. Is there any of your amigos that you can ask about getting a newbies thread? That way we wouldn't be irritating the older members but they could come and join in our threads if they were interested?

I totally agree.... I'm pretty new here, and don't really have anything fantastic to contribute to the Lostpedia... I'm not the person who notices the little things, and I'm not the first to my computer after a new episode airs. But it's still nice to have a group of people to bounce ideas off of, and to share info with. Thanks for putting it that way. I looked for a thread just like the one you propose but did not see one, so that's why I made my intro thread. With the response this simple hello has had, I can now see why there's not many out there. Seems like 'Ol Cap'n's tights are to tight! HA (hehe...joking! I was only joking!)
I'm just gonna use this thread to get used to posting if that's OK w/ everyone. I need to get the hang of the quote feature and how to use the smiley's from www.SmileyCentral.com. I tried to give myk a thumbs up, but it didn't work. I also don't know how to use the quick reply yet, but I'll figure it out.
