If the island settles down in the 70's, that would make this baby about 24/34 years old in 2004. Probably around 30. That rules Karl out. It could be Ethan, but it's kind of a long shot. Harper, Colleen and the two ladies of the Looking Glass would fit too.

Don't think it could be Karls mom. They seem to be stucked in the 70ies, and Karl was about the same age as Alex, so he must be born in the late 80ies.

First I was guessing, that this is Charlottes birth but that would mean, time traveling didn't stop. According to the last episode future Farady will warn little Charlotte someday from coming back to the island and to remember that, she must be at least 3 or 4 years old, when they met.

So, I support the theory, that this is the birth of Ethan.

The island is going to be 'settled down' around the 1977/1978 year. When Ben is still an influencable child. Karl being born around that time would make him 26 in 2004.

The actor Blake Bashoff who played Karl is 27.

It makes more symmetrical story telling sense to have Juliet / Sawyer there when Karl is born (based on their connection to him) versus Ethan.

The island is going to be 'settled down' around the 1977/1978 year. When Ben is still an influencable child. Karl being born around that time would make him 26 in 2004.

Maybe Charlotte. Although we'd have to wait around awhile for her to be old enough to understand a scary man telling her not to come back to the island or else she will die. At least 5 or 6 years.

Time is totally relative on Lost. If Locke had stopped the wheel in the late 70's, then the Island could have been stuck in that time period. So Sawyer could have been living amongst Dharma folk for 5 years or so. Enough time for him to find a girl, fall in love, settle down.

I think Roger linus is Charlotts dad (i'd take my child and leave too)...I don't have an idea about who's birth it may be, but I'm thinking they're stuck in the early days of Dharma due to the sceen with Daniel in the building of the orchid...

It seems like they must spend quite a bit of time there. Long enough to to be comfortably holding Dharma jobs, anyway.

Maybe the reason Charlotte can speak Korean is because Jin taught her when she was a little girl.
