When they said that they were really stressed because they were "in the middle of writing the show finale", did anyone else get chills?

I mean.... it's almost over. The writing is almost, or maybe by now, is on the wall figuratively speaking. The mythology is complete. We just have to watch it.

I geeked out when I heard that...

Wow, that does give me a weird feeling... I haven't listened to the official podcast at all this season, but I'll have to start. Sounds like they discuss some "juicy" stuff.

Not really. Their the same old vague Carlson.

This comment was just said in a throwaway kind of style, but I went back and re-listened, and they do say it.

Great stuff...

They say "we're trying to get the finale written right now"..They could be talking about S5, couldn't they?

That's what I would assume, hammering out the final details of the finale for this season.

I love the podcasts. Also, what I've gotten into recently, and what I'd urge you guys to do too, is going back and listening to the older podcasts - its really cool to see how they talk about things, now that we know a lot of the answers.

Im not being very eloquent now, but its pretty cool. just do it :D

I am always charmed by how off-the-cuff and slightly amateurish the podcasts are. Carlton and Damon just rambling away and making each other laugh. When Carlton said the mike stand is just a cardboard box on his office table, I have no doubt he is telling the truth.

I did that too, it was awesome. Especially since I'd never listened to any of those before.
Btw. the audio podcasts are wayyy better than the videos. They seem much more laid back and funnier.

What is the email adress you write to asking them questions for the podcast?

In last weeks (or maybe it was this week, i listened to both at the same time) they said they were mixing 1 episode, editing 4 episodes, filming 2 episodes, writing 2 episodes and breaking the episodes up to the end of the season.

haha its amazing how much they actually sometimes tell us with their off-the-cuff remarks :o

I don't really watch the vidcasts tbh. Well, once in a while :o

go to the LOST forum at abc.com and there's links there. You used to just post in their forum and put PQ: in the title, but I think its a bit different now. If I wasn't on dial-up now (), I'd link you directly, but.. you know ;)

It is pretty awesome that they're basically done with the season (in terms of writing). It does give them less flexibility though, if the fans respond poorly to any plotline. Not that we would.

I would also strongly suggest (if you have time) going back and listening to all the old audio podcasts. Though audio does not exist for the oldest ones anymore (Season 2), you can read through transcripts on Lostpedia - just look up podcasts. I took the time and read through each and every one and then listened to those that were available (many are archived on Lostpedia).

It is well worth it.

That's what I thought also, when I heard that. I doubt they're writing the series finale at this point.

I agree; I just downloaded all the video/audio podcasts from iTunes onto my iPhone, so I can listen to them all. :D
