So. I just thought I'd say that I now have access to Tricia Tanaka Is Dead. I haven't watched it quite yet, but I will be doing so sometime within the next week. When I do, I can edit this and post spoilers here for those of you who want them.
So... Be patient, and you shall recieve.
EDIT: OK, guys, I know this is really late, but my internet connection was down. Here they are.
SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!
Flashback:
It is a Hurley flashback. We start out with Hurley as a kid, talking to his father. They talk about how they are going to take a trip to the Grand Canyon, but his father has some work to do first, plus he has a car where there is something wrong with the carburator that he needs to fix. He drives off on his motorcycle. Later, we learn that that was the last time Hurley saw him for 17 years.
Back to Hurley as an adult, and he has won the lottery. He bought his old workplace, Mr. Cluck's Chicken Shack. He is having an interview outside with his old boss, and his interviewer is Tricia Tanaka. He starts talking about the bad luck the numbers have given him (his grandpa died, Johnny ran off with his girlfriend Starla, his mother's house burned down, etc.), but Tricia gets mad, because he is supposed to pretend it has brought him happiness. She and the cameraman go inside the building, and it is hit by a meteor. Tricia Tanaka (and her cameraman) is dead.
We discover that Hurley's dad has been called by his mom to come back and try to help Hurley stop believing in the curse. Hurley is suspicious, but agrees to go to a psychic. She is eerily right about Hurley, and tells him that he can break the curse. But Hurley gives her money, and she admits his dad put her up to it.
Hurley is furious at his dad. So, we have another Lostie with daddy issues.
On the Island:
Vincent comes over to Hurley on the beach, with a rotting human arm in his mouth. The hand is holding a key with a rabbit foot on it. He runs off, and Hurley follows him. Hurley discovers a car in the middle of the jungle. He runs back to camp, trying to convince everyone to help him get the car working, so that they'll have a little fun. Everybody says no but Jin, and it seems Jin had no clue what was going on. but they go out to the jungle, and flip it over. The arm was from a dead Dharma worker inside, named Roger. There is a bunch of trash in the car, and Dharma-brand beer. Sawyer and Kate arrive at camp, and Sawyer goes to find Hurley to find out where his stuff went. They turn the car over, and Charlie comes. They can't get it to work, so Jin, sawyer, and Charlie help Hurley get the car rolling by pushing it. They reach the top of a huge hill with rocks on the bottom. Hurley thinks that the momentum of going down the hill will jump-start the car, but if it doesn't, he will crash into the rocks and die. Since Charlie believes he will die because of what Desmond told him, he decides he might as well risk his life. They roll down the hill, and Hurley says to himself, "There is no curse." He turns the ignition, and the radio turns on. He steers away from the roicks, seconds away from crashing and dying. But he is fine.
On the other hand, when Kate gets back to camp, she decides to try and get help from Danielle to guide her on the island to get Jack back. Out in the jungle, Danielle asks, "Why should I help you?" And Kate replies, "Because when i was there, there was a girl about sixteen years old, and her name was Alex. I believe she is your daughter." And then, LOST goes about the screen, and the episode's over.
Overall, I thought it wasn't the most revelatory episode, but humorous at some points, and an interesting end. It's another classic Hurley flashback.
So... Be patient, and you shall recieve.
