Remember when Enter The Matrix came out, and if you never played it, there were a few scenes which I considered to be important to the mythology that you never would've seen. So there were big plot holes in the 2nd and 3rd movies unless you played the damn video game, which wasn't that good.
For the sake of everyone who hasn't been playing TLE, I hope it isn't necessary that you play it in order to fully understand season 3...that'd make a lot of people angry and not want to watch, and I'd probably kill myself if the show ever got.........*cancelled*......

PS - Before you hit reply, think about it. Don't start going on in a heated debate about the Matrix sequels...that's another forum for another day. Seriously. I was just making a comparison. Count to five...

You have a good point, but I doubt there will be any "requirement" to have played the game to enjoy the show. I'm sure the producers are aware of the millions of "Lost" viewers, probably .01% are going to get seriously involved with cracking clues or even watching the flics on youtube. I turned a couple of buddies of mine on to the show, and the adamantly refuse to even hear about what I've found in T.L.E. They feel that some of the mystique will be ruined.

I'm sure there will be some minor references and inside jokes that we'll be hip to that most viewers (who didn't get into the "experience") won't catch.

They won't be 'Lost' though.

Remember the Lost video game article.. That is gonna be a total peice of crap game. They couldn't really make it much of a shooter, and thats the only way it could be a good game.
