what do you think will be answered in this episode and what new questions do you think will be put forth

I think we will be shown how desmond can see into the future but i think a new question will be how did he get this ability, please share your thoughts

An explanation of what happened when Desmond turned the key, and what happened to Locke, Des and Eko. An explanation how Des lost his clothes. How he can see the future- either how the Discharge triggered this, OR it tells us he always could- this may not be explained if it is shown in a FB however.

I think we will have "Flashes before your eyes" in a "Flashforward" opposed to a flashback. The producers hinted the story of the Discharge could be expplained through flashback, or even flashforward (or jokingly, flashsideways).
I think we will see Jack put in a cage, and Kate and Sawyer reaching the island. Juliet will be captured for shooting Pickett.

Do you think this will be a beach-only episode or one from the Hydra aswell. Because if it is a "co-production", maybe we will see Ben come round from the surgery.

I've accidently wandered into the English forums twice now, both times I covered my eyes or turned off the screen and got rid of it. No spoilers yet. I can't wait. The problem is, it's half-term. I'm wishing it to get to Sunday- to see Lost, but that means I am wishing away the holidays. I still have a fair bit of work to do.

I've managed to avoid the spoilers so far, but I saw one comment along the lines of: 'Wow, that was far out'. So I'm optimistic that it will be another great episode. I'm hoping to find out:

1) What actually happened to the hatch. Implosion? Explosion? Cosmic meltdown?

2) How Desmond can see future events.

3) Maybe something about Desmond and Penny - that's a great love story, much more interesting than Kate's - it's Jack; no, Sawyer; erm, no, Jack; no, actually, Sawyer and on and on ad nauseum. Make your mind up, woman.

They promised us explanations on what happened after the failsafe was turned, and why Desmond can seemingly see the future. I can't wait!

I wonder if Sun and Jin will do anything, away from the Desmond scene. Claire may even get a few lines, although likely about Des.

I can't bloody wait for tonight's episode!

I don't wanna go on a rant here, but... Whats the betting that we see lots of Hydra stuff when last week we got no Lockeland stuff? Sillyness. Maybe its just me but I'm really starting to not care about Jack and co, whereas I'm still interested in Desmond and Locke, hell I even want to know whats going on with the Charlie and Claire romance, and dont even get me started on Rose and Bernard.

Locke, Patchy and Desmond. They'll save this show from the mire (and the muck) that its in. And by mire I mean not being as good as it once was, is that blasphamous saying that? Maybe I'm not giving it enough time, but so far this season only Eko and Locke's episodes struck me as being uber good (Eko's in particular was insanely good) and I'm 98% certain tonights Desmond episode will also be damn good, thusly proving Desmond and Locke are the people that should get the most attention.

I'm rambling again, anyway... Flashes Before Your Eyes is on in 8 hours and 1 minute, yay!

I agree. I am starting to bore of the Hydra, but also I want it to continue as it at last reached answer-point. Which would be lovely. But I think FBYE will be a great episode, putting us onto Episode 10 when we should really start to get moving on the beach. (ep9 is Jack...) The producers promised us that the mini-season was done in such a way to build up something good this season.

I do wish they would hold off on the Jack episode. Desmond, Hurley, Sayid and Locke flashbacks are what we need, hell even Jin and Sun!

It's largely Charlie and Hurley, trying to find out what happened. Locke is in it, hopefully a lot! I am annoyed about the Jack episode, but after that I don't think we will have another Jack episode until Season 4, most likely the premiere. Have you seen the line up for future episodes i.e. name/character?

Hugo and Charlie together is usually comical, add a serious Desmond into the mix and you've got good TV, add in Locke and you've got... uh, better TV.

I have seen the episode list type thing, its interesting. This probably isnt spoiler/white-out worthy but just incase:

Stranger In A Stranger Land, any episode that shares a name with an Iron Maiden track must be good, I've never been a big Jack fan but he is always involved in the major storylines so thats something atleast.

Tricia Tanaka Is Dead, this makes me thing of Asian News Correspondant Tricia Takanawa in Family Guy. I'm assuming this Tricia Tanaka person died in Hugo's deck accident?

And Enter 77... Sayid is a tricky one, I absolutely loathed lovey dovey Sayid but torturey intense Sayid made me happy. I have a soft spot for comical Sayid, he's quite witty. "One Of Them" (featuring Kelvin and Ben getting tortured) was one of the best episodes ever, if we get that Sayid I'll be happy.

A Locke episode cant be far behind after that, in fact Locke's episode could feature the formidable bomb they've been hyping? Speaking of Locke, people with scars tend to be bad guys, dont they?

Will the flashbacks ever stop? Or will they continue until the very end? I cant imagine Jin/Sun and Charlie have much more to see, same with Kate, infact I Do wasnt exactly anything new.

Kate has another FB, where her ex-husband is in it again. Kevin or whatever his name is. I don't think FBs will stop. They will slow for the Others, Danielle, new characters etc, but they can't lose the orignal cast's centric episodes. They could stop FBing, but I doubt. But their stories are pretty much complete. Especially Jack...

Nikki and Paulo are being really hyped up by the producers. They have a largely on island FB, and there is supposed to be a "game changer" mid-season - the same time as their FB. And a "character bomb" around episode 12 ahem Jack is Claire's half-(Insert Desmond voice here) brother.

Hmm, I havent made my minds about Nikki and Paolo, I didnt care much for his acting and the whole "they've been there the whole time" bit wasnt great but if it leads to some bombs I dont mind, plus she is easy on the eyes and it looks like Paolo is disliked by Desmond, Locke and Sayid. Confrontation~!

Claire and Jack... hmm... could happen what with Jack's dad in Australia, but would that really be bomby? Its not like Jack would suddenly give a crap about Claire, because he always has, being the leader and everything.

Is Ben's episode confirmed as the finale?


Also, I wonder if The Others will try and get Aaron and/or Jin Jr. in the future?

Ben's episode is likely, but not certainly, the finale I believe. And nobody is gonig to care if Jack is Claire's Brother, I hope it isn't true so we get something decent!

Also, I and a lot of people don't think we will see Sun's baby. Too far in the future.

Oh yeah, I guess it would take a while, since were at episode 8 now and its only meant to be a week or so since the sky turned purple. The islands healing powers could speed up the pregnancy a bit, give her a premature birth.

I wont mind the whole Jack/Claire deal as long as they dont make a big deal out of it, if its just another connection that'll be fine.
