Default anyone speak Korean?

My husband (who is vastly amused by my preoccupation with Lost) was wondering if Jin and Sun are really saying the things the subtitles say.

We've noticed that often in English subtitled French films, the translation is not always really what they are saying...

Mostly yes but since some things would be lost in translation, they change the subtitles sometimes. No I don't speak Korean.

well, sure, but even things that can be easily translated, but are vulgur or racey get toned down in the subtitles (sometimes). I just thought it would be funny if Sun and Jin were delivering lines that aren't quite what we are reading. If they're hiding dialog in the whispers, then who knows what layers of cryptic information we haven't even picked up on yet...

I'm korean and they are speaking korean. The subtitles are about 90% correct but somethings are lost in translation. Sun's korean is perfect as shes is a big actress in korea. Jin's korean however has a american accent.

That would be pretty slick if they hid secret stuff in thier speech. Rousseau might be used to do the same thing, or the German guy the others kidnapped from the tailies.
