I have trouble with the idea of dropping more cash on a game system then my monthly mortgage. I'm just funny that way. Also seems like a bit of a waste of hardware considering I've yet to make the jump to HDTV but I think I'll be doing that in a few months.

But twice in the past week I looked at the Metal Gear Solid box set and said maybe today is the day..........but it wasn't.

dude that is one awesome game! I'm going to have a second run through on it soon on a higher difficulty.

Definitely recommend ps3, really good piece of kit. So much more than a games console. Considering most decent blu ray players are around the same price too, it's a bargain. Really good dvd upscaler too. Plus all sorts of multi media stuff. And you can help cure serious diseases with folding @ home.

hd tv is definitely needed to take full advantage though.
