I searched and found nothing, plus recall that at one point during the Psych thread that someone mentioned that there should have been a Monk thread.
Anyway, I'm disappointed that this is the last season, but damn have they been doing well with it. I didn't know what to think of the episode last week with Sharona being back, but the interactions/infighting with her and Natalie were as good as expected. Oh, and Randy and Sharona apparently hooking up and Monk/Natalie's shock at that was priceless. Then we get the episode tonight. Mr. Monk and the Dog. Oh my. For a crazy germaphobe/"everythingphobe" like him, it was great to see him try to handle a dog, but also great to see him let his guard down a little bit, kinda like a season or two ago when he was "adopting" a kid and how good he was around him, even well, letting the kid hold a single finger while walking around and not looking to Natalie and saying, "Wipe." I have to say, I'm pretty glad that they did the Sharona episode before the final couple episodes, because I think it's better to basically close up that storyline before the end, even if it means she makes some cameo towards the end. Still though, we have Dale the Whale possibly to encounter for something, plus Trudy's murder which would be unreasonable if they do not resolve that before the end. I know about 4 or so seasons back I was all hoping that the show would end up with him getting his badge back, but they already teased that twice (I believe) so while that would be great, I'd be just as happy with him resolving issues with Ambrose and basically walking off into the distance at the end of the finale or something (after, of course, finding Trudy's killer... or we riot!). Either that, or just closing the series out with Dr. Bell, who is a character that I thought did a tremendous job filling in for Stanley Kamel and has put his own spin on the therapist. Also, while I generally think that when a show ends, the character should be retired, unless it crosses over to a new show, damn if I wouldn't love to see Monk doing a guest spot on Psych some time like next year. Any thoughts? Or am I the only one that watches the show? |

^ooh, yessss!!! but Tim Curry-Dale for his return, por favor, he was epic in that role.
![]() ![]() ![]() also, would you like for Trudy's killer to be someone we know or have it be a brand new character?? I''m definitely on the fence about that one... :/

Personally, I don't know that there is a current "villain" that I'd like to see back in that. Perhaps a two-part episode when he finds it out but turns out there were connections before.
Tim Curry was a nasty villain... I won't put him under cool (like I think you did?) because he makes me mad mad, not mad in a good way, but has been a good plot point over the years. Actually, I just looked, and there have been 3 actors playing that role in 3 different episodes, so meh. Adrian is just such a sweetheart and he means well... at times, but isn't so much like a Michael Scott. He deserves resolution, as if there is any doubt he will get it. I just wonder if it'll be the last say 2-3 episodes or will be before. I think there are 6 left. ![]() Oh, and how about the fact that he basically finally made peace with Howard Crenshaw this season? They are doing very well with this final season so far in my opinion. Like I said, just possibly Ambrose, some Dr. Bell stuff, Trudy, and the possibility of getting a badge back again left imo. |

^Yeah, it was Curry, Adam Arkin, and I forgot the 3rd guy's name.
![]() ![]() and Curry makes me mad too...which isn't very easy to do...so that's why he's cool...which actually makes no sense... ![]()

I'm going to miss Monk. It's been such a great show, and watching Monk's journey from the first episode is amazing.
This season has been great, and I will be sad when it ends. Still, I've wanted to find out who killed Trudy for so long, and I think it'll be interesting not only to find out who did it, but why and how they got away with it. |

I found myself absolutely repulsed by him because of how much I like Adrian. Perhaps that is how I gauge my villains... (I really don't have a "set" way, but this may be how I formulated them in my mind). Maybe it's if they are up against characters that I do like, but I find myself being interested in the villain as well.

THIS THIS THIS... I only hope that it doesn't serve to plunge Adrian into depression, and the only way I could see them doing something like that is if they do that in like the 3rd to last episode and then suddenly new stuff happens in the last 2 episodes and he sort of comes to the "it's not my fault". Come on, Dr. Bell!

My only fear, which I do not think they will do is that they could have it be someone from the police department do it. However, there is NO WAY that Leland or Randy could be involved, and there isn't really any other "main" cops that would matter, so eh... maybe they could do that.

^yeah, my grandmother is convinced for some reason that it's gonna be Leland, but I'd be so disappointed with that outcome...and of course, Randy's too incompetent so it can't be him...
![]() idk, if they get it to be a new character, who should play the killer???
