Adam and Eve Theory

This is a theory that I have cooked up for you all. Enjoy.

Most of you are familiar with the story of Adam and Eve. A guy wakes up in the middle of an untouched wilderness, perfect. The first thing he does is squint, the light is bright. He then realizes what he has in his hand, and all that. He then walks over to the crash site. This is just a premise to my theory. Here is its bulk.

The Dharma Initiative and the Hanso Foundation, they know when the world is going to end. They do not want this to happen. Some kind of catastrophe is going to occur, perhaps a magnetic reversal, that will throw the world into chaos. They need a place to continue the world, in seclusion. They found the island, set up the bunkers and such, and brought in the first round of people. They were brought in through ways of either volunteering, or more violent ways. These people were pre-scouted in the real world for perfect qualities that would enable them to perform the best in a crisis. The experiment was going well, until, the incident.

Now the incident was something that exposed the island, and this could not happen, for people would start making conclusions abotu why, and therefore throw the world into chaos. Because of this, the scientists conducting the experiment created a being that could examine and test people for being good or bad. Those who were bad were killed. That being is obviously the monster. The Others are either the scientists who are managing this world or, on a darker note, people from failed experiments who went insane and escaped the clutches of the monster.

The Adam and Eve that were found in the caves literally were Adam and Eve, the first Dharma tests of this subect. They either died naturally or were killled by the monster. People are coming in to the island because the scientists have pre-chosen them, and "the island" lets up its magnetic shield and draws them in. Each bunker either provides an essential element to their survival, is meant ot be found by people to be trained, or used by the scientists to monitor the subjects. The parapsychological station is a remote viewing station, a thing where people can track where other people are, with the only knowledge being their first name.

Other stations, such as a meteorology station, are to provide good weather and such for water and crops. I am currently unaware of the purpose of other stations. There is a rogue group, however, who is trying to destory the experiment completely. These could be the Others. They want the experiment to die, even if it means some of its subjects being killed as well. They created the polar bear, they make the hallucinations occur that convince people its all fake.

The case could also be thus: The sciences the Dharma Initiative studies are necessary to continue human life, and they study utopian social engineering to perfect society, electromagnetism for energy maybe, zoology to preserve animals, meteorology to prepare for weather, psychology to understand the human mind, parapsychology to make life a little easier maybe. The numbers are the Valenzetti equation, that's why they appear everywhere, and they can predict the apocalypse.

I will expand it when I feel like it.

Still doesn't explain the Numbers, but I guess that isn't what you were intending. I doubt that it's true (JJ is deeper than that, no offense), but it's still intriguing. Also, it doesn't explain the black and white rocks.

Black and white rocks look a lot like lockes backgammon peices so maybe going back to the whole time theroy then maybe the losties are actully the very first test subjects but times all mucked up there so theres tests from the future aswell

im pretty sure from what ive seen and read that the hanso foundation doesnt actually know how to utilize the valanzetti equation and that the dont know exactly when humankind will cease.

it would be a good storyline i guess but just because that guy told the staff that they didnt know doesnt necessarily mean they dont know lol. this is lost haha. for all we know valenzetti isnt dead he is HIM lol.
