Just a thought, adding up the email about the Sundra trench plus the radio transmission Sam overheard and I started wondering... Amelia Earhart and her navigator (some guy) missing in the same area as our Island... around 70 years ago... 2 mystery bodies on our island, thought to be "around" 50 years old...
Thoughts? |

If Earheart and her navigator did end up on the island, how would they have ended up dressed in Dharma employee outfits? It's not a long-stretch, just would have to explain how they were connected to Dharma.

*shrug* How does a polar bear wind up in Africa with a DHARMA collar? With this show, you never know.

Do we know that they were dressed up in Dharma outfits? If they were I would tend to agree with you that it's probably not them... I thought it was a stretch to begin with, that fact would put it over the top.

![]() Watching the episode in real-time, you see the standard gray that is the proper Dharma uniform but looking at a still frame it seems that it could be any kind of clothing. So who knows?!

This sounds like an interesting theory, and quite believable at first, especially with the Amelia character living amongst the others and the broadcast in 815, but...
I think people fail to realize that Amelia Earhart was a REAL person, with REAL family and relatives still alive. Do you think they would enjoy her memory being trivialized in a TV show? Do you think they wouldn't take some form of action? And since the story would basically be saying that she never died, and instead ended up in our TV show... it seems rather tasteless when you look at it from the point of view of her real family who is still alive. I wouldn't want my own grandmother's death trivialized and then for her to show up on a TV show about a magic island. Just my thoughts. |
