That's why I don't think they'll be addressed. They have no start. They're a twist on the compass thing again. Either they have to come up with another set of stones, now making 4 stones where once were only 2, or Jack somehow gets them back to the time period where they can be placed where he finds them in 2004.

He could do this from 1977 but they would then have nothing to do with Adam and Eve and everything to do with Jack messing with his future self.

There can be 4 stones for a while just like there can be two people. But, I like what you said above. I think they will stumble upon them maybe and Jack will say "these belong to them" and the circle begins.

Adam and Eve are clearly the losers in the game.
They could indeed be Jack and Kate, since Jack is clearly such a bad sport, and Kate prefers to follow him, instead of Locke.
Or, more strangely, they can be Widmore and Hawking...
