ending = priceless.
first, the note claire wrote definatly made me teary
and then the losties see dharmaville....even though we have already seen it, they havent, and its a good scene....plus...jack running for his life? nope....just playing a game a football with tom! bahahaha hilarious!

i think this is the best claire flashback story....seeing younger gothic, ear piercing claire is nice, because i feel it lets us know a little bit more about her (unlike many flashbacks that just show us things we already know about the character)...we learn about carole and her coma....and then...christian shephard shows up.....christian always makes for the best character connections. i know i felt really frustrated first time around that it takes so long for anyone to realize jack and claire are brother and sister! we have to wait until christians funeral....no fair.

and we see the sonic fence (which thankfully isnt set to kill!)

the bird story is cute and creates a sense of hope....and im glad that claire got filled in on des and charlie and all that is going on with them...

What makes you say that? Is it confirmed by someone other than Mikhail that wasn't set to kill?

Claire always has good episodes The scene when she and Charlie let the bird go is such a good one. Nice to see the sonic fence for the first time, and Evangeline gets to do some of her infamous tree climbing! I remember being totally creeped out the first time when Mikhail "dies"... so gross.

no....i just find mikhails return and excuse that the fence wasnt set to kill hilarious. i promise its funny in my head. haha

After my last post in my thread, I actually read the transcript for the podcast that discussed Mikhail's "death", and Damon was actually saying there that the fence wasn't at a lethal setting. But he suffered massive hemorrhaging! There's no way that someone normal could survive that! And later he's shot with a harpoon and then swims around underwater! The island doesn't appear to heal lethal wounds; Mikhail is in actuality Rasputin. That's the only way I can explain it.

My question is why does it sound like Mikhail brought Jacob to the island if no one has met Jacob?

MIKHAIL: Ben? Ben is not.

I suppose he could mean Alpert brought him because Jacob told him to, but still.

Interesting that Mikhail tells Sayid and Kate that they are incapable of understanding why anyone would want to return to the island because they are flawed, and because they weren't on the list, when Jacob will in fact work to bring them both back. Were they not on the list to trick Mr. X?

I think Tom might have a crush on Jack. I'm still kinda bummed that Sawyer shot him.
