well.....ana lucia is dead
but so is libby, and now im left liking michael even less. good character connections in the flashbacks....ana goes to sydney with christian who is going to see claire (little do we know). and then sawyer walks by.... libby and hurley were cute in this episode....which im sure they did on purpose just to make us hate that she died. i also watched the missing piece today where hurley is getting the wine and talking to frogurt. its funny on its own, but when paired with the knowledge of what is happening at the hatch during their discussion, it turns tragic. also....ana and sawyer...not cool. nice to see locke is still working away on his drawings and trying to reproduce what he saw duing the lockdown. im surprised jack doesnt ask what hes up to.

Incredible episode! I dunno if it's just because I didn't watch any episodes for about a week but this was definitely the second best of season 2 so far, second only to the premiere. Nothing bored me and when it was over it didn't feel like 42 minutes had gone by. The climax scene with Michael had my heart pumping even though I knew what was going to happen and I just think its so great how it was left completely silent without any music. By far the most shocking plot twist to date, imo. Nothing bad to say about this one
![]() Btw, I got an eerie feeling about Christian bringing Ana to Sydney. Like there's something we don't know... like he brought her because he was told to... but I'm probably totally off, only season 6 will tell

^ I completely got that feeling, too. I watched it last night, so I can't pull the quotes off the top of my head... but a couple of the things Christian said about fate and what not were very leading, I thought. And then I started thinking about it, and how when they go to Claire's, Ana says something to the effect of "We've been here for four days doing nothing but drinking"... and they certainly didn't show them doing anything important after that... and she was basically unnecessary during the whole Claire's aunt thing, anyway... so why did Christian really bring her along? What did he know then?

This episode contains the most shocking LOST moment in LOST history.
I remember the first time I watched this when Michael shot Ana and Libby - that was truly unbelievable! |

Rewatching this episode made me angry all over again about what the writers did to Michael's character by making him a cold-blooded killer. Yes, it was shocking but it's almost too cruel to watch or enjoy.
With that said, excellent episodes. I really liked the flashbacks and Ana-Lucia came a long way. I felt for her in the phone call with her mom (would've liked to see her mom seeing the news that the plane had crashed), and it was a big deal that she couldn't kill Ben. Jack was mean to burn that manuscript... it was totally unnecessary and it wasn't funny either. I don't get why Christian called Ana-Lucia "Sarah". Why?? Was he actually attracted to Jack's wife? Two for the road- is that Christian and Ana Lucia off to Sydney, or Libby and Anna Lucia just off?

Here's a rewatch "that's weird"- Goodwin. When Ben is trying to kill Ana he is genuinely angry about her killing "good people". But we know from his "you're mine!" episode with Juliet (not sure of name) he left Goodwin out with the Tailies to get him killed- certainly wasn't upset that he was dead. His jealousy wasn't faked, and there was no need to fake his anger with Ana either since he was trying to kill her. So he was both quite happy Goodwin was dead and quite angry that he was dead.
Also, why was Goodwin's body left out for Eko to show Jin in "And Found"? And why did they find it, looked like in situ, in the jungle when he died in a higher place that looked like a clearing? These strike anyone else as not consistent?

Why oh why did it have to be Ana Lucia and not Kate?
