Yeah, I'm rewatching with my girlfriend (who's watching for the first time)...and finished this episode last week. She loves Boone and was a little upset.

In a show with a smoke monster and time travel, i doubt the writers were too worried about the believability of a bootleg blood transfusion haha

Though I liked this episode because of all the important things happening and the emotional layer it brought, I mostly remember this as the episode I started to dislike Jack.
He can never just get óver himself! I mean, besides from the joke he played on Sawyer in Deus Ex Machina he is without a doubt the most humourless character of them all. I understand that this Boone & Claire situation wasn't exactly a laughing matter, but I don't get why someone who cuts people open for a living would get SO worked up over it. Jack has to make everything so personal, it's always about him and his "issues". The thing that really did it for me was when Boone woke up and started to actually calm Jáck down! Uhm.... one of them is dying and in excruciating pain, the other one is fine and just doing his job (literally). Who should be calming who? Anyways, so far for me bashing Jack. Why are we assuming Ethan Rom is his real name? I'm not sure, maybe I missed a point where we actually saw his real name. I mean, why whould he nót make up his last name, it makes perfect sense. Even in the flashbacks with Juliet it would make sense.
