In real life, the Board would not have seen Jack as a troublemaker; they would have asked why he intervened and encouraged the truth to come out. The nurses would have been interviewed and Christian's inebriation would have come out, likely without Jack's testimony. One thing we do know, if the Board would have found out that the nurses or Jack stood by knowing Christian was inebriated, they would have all been subject to censure or loss of license. We don't know how Christian's report was written up though; it may have looked like Jack was the primary physician from the beginning.

If you want to blast Jack, that's fine, but not for this episode. It's Jack at his best, both for standing up for the principles of the hospital and patient care, and for saving Charlie when everyone on the island had either done nothing or gave up. And that includes Locke.

Boone had this awesome line when Locke asks him what he tzhink he did back in the real world ... either taxidermist or hitman ... cracks me up everytime I rewatch, perfect description of early Locke

speaking of resurrection

I think he meant lists of survivors, so they would know who was alive and who died.

Ben wanted lists of the survivors. The only thing i don't understand about that quote is why the others then went on to take 3 of the tailies on the first night. Must be a blooper.

My thoughts:

Funny that Jack and Kate were better trackers than Locke was. Maybe it was because his destiny was to find the Hatch so the island led him there instead. Or maybe it was just coincidence.

I thought the "red shirts" talk was hilarious.

I loved Walt and Hurley together. Hurley is so charming. I don't care what anybody says. I think he is adorable

And what is up with Locke being able to predict rain..weird.

The first appearance of the hatch!!!! Loved it!

they weren't "better trackers", they just happened to follow the actual trail whereas Locke and Boone followed the dummy trail, which didn'tmatter when ocke began to follow his "guts" and they ened up finding the hatch

not better trackers, luckier maybe ... but even KAte admits that she's not as good with that as Locke is

I totally agree 100% with you on this! Top notch acting by both Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly here.
