what was with all the talk about claires mom?????
was this just something not thought out? or was everyone of the opinion that coma victims know whats going on?
when claire said her mom would disown her and thomas said she basically already has....i was like...is he making a joke?

i love charlie and claire...i always wanted them to hook up earlier than they did, but i guess hooking up with a prego chick is not too cool....

ethan is so scary in this ep. is it weird that he was so open with his real name?

also....love how sawyer gave the manifest so willingly. how could he say no to hurley?

another great ep. i think i feel that way about pretty much every single one though....

My thoughts/perceptions on this episode:

First off, definitely one of my favorites in Season One. The nightmare sequence continues to freak me out.

Also:
  1. The island causing Claire's pens not to work at the adoption hearing, like Michael's gun not firing in Season Four's "Meet Kevin Johnson".
  2. Malkin: “They’re NOT strangers… They’re good people.” (reset theorists might like this one) – I prefer to think that he's referring to Jack & Kate who do eventually end up taking care of Aaron off island in LA.
  3. Anybody else catch this: Locke applying sand to the hide he's working on at the beach using a toddler’s shoe as a cup – disturbing.
  4. Favorite lines (from Shannon): "Address: Craphole Island." and "I am so not moving to the rape caves."

When Claire's pen stopped it made me think of young Sawyer's pen stopping just before Jacob approached him. Maybe Jacob has powers over ink.

Interesting thought about Kate and Jack being the "good people". Malkin said Aaron would need Claire's "goodness". (Or what - grow up to be Esau?) Maybe Kate and Jack have the goodness too, so Aaron will be all right. Except that he's now with Grandma!

The "good people" thing makes me think about "the Others"... they often refers to themselves as Good guys/people...

Moreover the Others are on jacob's sides... mmmh....

Malkin's appearance in "?" does kind of ruin this episode for me. I feel like the writers were trying to tell us "Aaron's not that special, the psychic is a fraud."

I'm holding out for Aaron really being special and hope Claire's (Emilie de Ravin's) return to Season Six will somehow play into this. I counting on Aaron, our "Little Prince", being the pure soul who will somehow be the saving grace in the series finale.

I think the whole point of ? coupled with this episode is to demonstrate that, although this guy is a fraud, he really IS moved by some psychic force concerning Claire's baby...IMO

Aaron must be special...Locke in the dream says"he was your responsiblity...you gave him away...everyone pays the price now" What price? Is Aaron the key to it all?

Charlie and Claire in the woods" there was not couple; he know about the plane...
It all lead to Aaron....

on a side note -- check out Locke's expression when Sayid says "we're not alone"
