Quite right! Though I notice this about many (but not all!) fan theories. I guess it comes with the territory of a program like Lost that constantly begs the viewers to delve deeper in what's put in front of them on the screen. Gotta love it!

P.S. I still flinch when the case from the overhead compartment nails the Marshal Mars in the head when the plane starts to go down!

Most of the things I noticed have been said already. I've always thought the beginning with Jack running to the beach and all the commotion of the wreckage was the best scene in Lost. The scene with Vincent watching the Losties from the bushes is really interesting. I dunno if I buy the whole Vincent is Jacob/Mr X thing though.

I dunno.....IMO it seems kinda anticlimatic to go to the trouble of transforming into a lab to merely eavesdrop on a few frantic survivors conversations.....what does he stand to gain?

just seems to me you'd "get more done" if you actually had a voice you could use to communicate with people....if he had some plan to set in motion, perhaps it wuold have been easier to accomplish being a human
I understand your point but it doesn't take words to be important. The actions of the dog seem to indicate that the dog is guiding people into doing different things. Communicating doesn't just mean speaking. I also just remembered that Locke finds Vincent and tells Michael to give him to Walt. Could help with the Locke 2.0 theory and that someone is in Vincent. Just some food for thought.

Wait a sec... If he's guiding them with his actions, what does that mean about the scene in Expose when Vincent is pulling the covers off Nikki and Paulo's "bodies"?? :O Are Nikki and Paulo more important than we thought!?

Just kidding

Have Brooklyn cabs particular unique sound effects?
Other people have brought up subways.
the Others of S5 let us know that there are tunnels running beneath this island.

just a thought.

now onto episode 2

New York City (of which both Brooklyn and the Bronx are part of) taxis are kind of symbolic of the city. There are A LOT of them. More than in a lot of cities, I'd say. And, as someone said, they used the sound of the meter printing out the receipt.

I don't even think that we know for sure that Man Number 2 took the form of Locke. It's possible that he's able to reanimate or resurrect the dead, and have some control over their actions, but not actually take their form. We just don't know.

I do think that the possibility exists that Vincent is somehow being used by "forces of the island" (for lack of a better title)...It's also possible that Christian exists as a separate entity from Jacob and Number 2.

But the corpse of Locke was still there. It wasn't reanimated or resurrected. There were 2 Locke bodies, the corpse and the imposter walking around.

True, but there were also 2 Lockes when one of them was jumping through time. We know there were experiments with time travel and The Orchid...maybe he killed them both. Or is somehow able to create a second entity which he controls from a corpse. I'm not saying this IS true...but that we don't know that he simply "is" the second Locke.

Default My two cents.

In regards to Locke being anti-Locke from the beginning.... I think that is just absurd. He dies off island 2007. We see his body off-island, and when it falls out of Illana's crate it has on the same clothes from off island 2007. We know then that the Locke with Jacob is Anti-Jacob. This is the only time we see two Lockes. Perhaps he was being manipulated by Anti-Jacob the whole time, but he was definitely not dead following the crash of 815.

I know with Time Travel it is possible that Anti-Locke went back in time and posed as Locke. I just don't think that fits in with everything else in Lost though. Sure it would be a twist, but what purpose would it really serve?

And the entire series was planned out at the start of Season 1. However, Damon and Carlton have said that somethings have been changed, especially character wise. For instance, there were bigger plans for Boone and Shannon but due to the actors request, those characters were not really taken to their original potential. (Remember how rushed the Sayid-Shannon romance felt?) I think similar things may have happened with other characters as things changed.

Just my two cents.
