Count me in on recommending 'The Stand' - I've read it twice, and would read it again if I had time!

The Stand is an obvious choice as it has influenced Lost the most. It is long so you will take a while reading it unless you are a machine, and it is very good, and it also has many similarities to Lost if you stop and really look for them.

Another one that is really good is Lord of the Flies. Unless you somehow never heard about this book, it revolves around a group of children that get stranded on an island, and the slow degeneration of the society they form. It reminds me a whole lot of the way the survivors were in season 1, and I really enjoyed it.

Another book that didn't so much have any kind of relation to Lost, but that I highly enjoyed was Watership Down, and it was seen being read by Sawyer on quite a few occasions if I remember right.

A really good read is 1984, it's got nothing to do with lost but i thought it was great.

I just finished reading The Beach by Alex Garland last week. It reads extremely fast and is leaps and bounds greater than the story told in the movie. Definitely recommend it to a fan of Lost.

I've read most other books mentioned in this topic. Aside from Watership Down, which I just reserved at the Library. So I'll likely get started on that soon.
