Rewatching now... I didnt think the baby looked asain at first glance, and with all the stuff happening to charlotte... but hmm, i am sure we will find out !

It cracks me up how many people thought of Mrs. Hawking and Daniel... you know, how they are related... like, mother/son!
This makes me laugh. I see her more like someone who is in charge of fate, someone who can direct fate, or someone who is very observant of fate. A tie-in with Faraday would be utterly ludicrous.

And this was supposed to be when Yemi's plane crashed which couldn't have been when Ben was a child. So that doesn't make sense.

I don't see why not. 'Where' the Island was, and 'when' the Island was there, and what it "drew in" at the time, and what the Island did to time, is unbounded in this mythology.

And we can't be sure of who is Richard-like. We know "Ben ages", but we don't know the 'etymology' of the true 'hostiles' and what happens with their ages. I hate to say this, but what if they aren't 'human'. :ugh:

Except Ethan was approximately the same age as he was in the first season, and Richard met Ben in the forest 20 or so years before the crash. Meaning Locke was in a more recent time period, or Ethan doesn't age just as Richard doesn't age.

Additionally, Locke was shot in the same time period in which he witnessed Yemi's (Eko's brother) plane crash which, if I remember right from Eko's flashbacks in season 2, was only a few years before the Oceanic crash.

In reference to the question regarding why we think Mrs. Hawking is Daniel's mom:

She would already know Desmond ("Flashes Before Your Eyes"). If she is related to Daniel then that would explain how he knows so much about time and the island. Within the episode we see her drawing equations on a chalkboard in the same manner that we see Daniel writing on the chalkboard in "The Constant." There's the British connection as well.
