Default Theory

Guys, I could be wrong but was there any information in the flashback to suggest that it was actually a flashback? Could it be a flash forward in which the Oceanic crash is found in the ocean following the new characters' departure from the island? My mind is a bit fuzzy but I don't recall any dates or anything that indicated this was prior to them going to the island

Also, can someone tell me if it's been confirmed that the powder is keeping Jacob trapped? Or is that still just a theory
Not confirmed, but very likely. I think Darlton acknowledged it in a podcast but never elaborated why it was there.

Back in season 2, I predicted that there would be scores of people posting in season 6 that their predictions were right. I also predicted they would annoy everyone else by doing so.

No, I think you're right. I believe the smoke monster, whatever it is, was probably there before DHARMA or the Hostiles and none of them probably really understands it. Did you see how much it kills Ben to have to admit he doesn't know something?

I said this in one of the other threads. There are parts of it that make me definitely feel it was a FF.

If you buy into the time travel theory that is on the first couple of pages of posts on the Main Forum, then it definitely could be a Flash Forward. We're definitely meant to think it was a FB, however. WHo knows at this point...

I can't say for sure, but my assumption is that it was a flashback because when Frank realized it wasn't the pilot and called that hotline...he looked like he was shocked and had just come to a realization that it might not be the real plane. If it was a flash forward, he wouldn't think much of it because he obviously already knows there are survivors and the plane didn't land on a trench because he's been on the island.

Don't know if that made any sense, but it's the way i look at it.

They would never broadcast footage of a corpse on TV.

I think it needed to be filmed that way to be plausible for media release. There going to extreme lengths to control how it all unfolds.

I think it was definitely FB...I think Frank got on the team because he called the hotline for noticing that it was fake.
